This easy mango smoothie is made with just three ingredients — frozen mango, Greek yogurt and milk. It’s super similar to a mango lassi, but without the added sugar!
Smoothie season is here and I am so excited! As soon as the weather turns warm I start to craving cool breakfast options like overnight oats and smoothies. Who’s with me on this?! I can’t be the only one!

If you’re shaking your head yes, I have JUST the smoothie recipe for you – a delicious mango smoothie that tastes like a mango lassi!

Ingredients You’ll Need

- mango – nothing compares to the flavor of fresh mango, but I like using frozen in this recipe because it gives the smoothie the perfect texture.
- Greek yogurt – I used plain Greek yogurt to keep the sugar content down and the protein high, but feel free to use a flavored yogurt if you’d like. I bet this smoothie would be delicious with vanilla Greek yogurt.
- unsweetened vanilla almond milk – if you don’t want your smoothie to be as tart, feel free to use regular almond milk.
Brittany’s Tip
If you don’t have frozen mango on hand, you can switch things up and use frozen peaches or nectarines instead. (Learn how to freeze peaches.)

Upgrade your Smoothie!
There are so many things you can add to your mango smoothie. Here are some ideas:
- Spices – like I mentioned above, I think cardamom would be a delicious addition. Ground ginger or turmeric would also be so tasty! For cardamom, start with 1/4 teaspoon. For ginger and turmeric, I’d start with 1/8 teaspoon!
- Protein powder – make this a complete meal or snack by adding protein powder. I like using Nuzest!
- Sweetener – if you use plain Greek yogurt and unsweetened almond milk, feel free to add a little sweetener if the end result is too tart for your preference. Maple syrup, honey or even a couple medjool dates would be easy to add to the mix.

Has anyone tried this with soy or oat milk?
Hi Sun. I haven’t tried it with soy or oat milk, but I think either would work well! Let me know if you give it a try.
This smoothie asks for a lot of ingredients. Meaning I don’t know how many this makes. I’m a very small woman. 4’8”, 75 lbs. This makes way too much. Any ideas. I have frozen mango, milk and yogurt. Thanks
Hi Paula! I am not sure what you are asking here. There are only 3 ingredients in this smoothie (measurements are in the recipe card) and the recipe makes 1 smoothie. If you feel like it is too large, you could 1/2 the recipe. Hope you enjoy this smoothie!
what is the cost?
Hi Martha – The cost of what? The recipe for this smoothie is below. Hope you give it a try and enjoy!
I haven’t found a recipe of yours I don’t love and this one really hit the spot this morning. I had everything on hand and I tossed in a little local honey because my allergies have been awful. Thank you for all your awesome recipes!!

Loved this! Sooo easy!! I used Trader Joe frozen mango and used 2% milk. Delish. Great warm weather drink/meal. P.S. I found it sweet enough though my spouse (who likes things sweet) thought it could be a bit sweeter P.P.S. this made a generous serving – I shared it with my spouse. Will make again soon!

Seems so yummy and refreshing… nice
this was an amazing recipe, loved making it very simple and has very good taste!!:)
It’s really good I made it this morning…. but is it really 823 calories?
Hey T! Something went wonky with the nutrition facts. I just updated them so they’re correct now. It’s 190 cals for the smoothie, not 823!!!! 🙂
What a simple and easy smoothie recipe. We love mango smoothies and can’t wait to give this one a try. It looks so delicious!
This is our favorite smoothie. I add a fresh mango (one or two if you like it stronger), milk or soy or almond milk, live culture yogurt, flax seed oil, a dash of nutmeg or cardamom. Mango is a subtle flavor and people often buy the puree or slices in cans. Frozen mango should be just as good although with mango in season I have not tried it. Not everyone likes the taste of mango and it can always be mixed with other fruits to your own taste. We use coconut sugar or sugar substitute because some mangos are just not that sweet.
Can you substitute almond milk with normal milk, for example Hiland 2% fat milk?
Sure!
Found this on Pinterest and sitting drinking it now. It’s actually amazing! Tastiest smoothie eve! I used fresh mango and it’s just divine! Thank you xxxx
I just made this smoothie for my whole family and they loved ittttt! I just added a little bit of honey to make it sweeter. I usually suck at cooking but this recipe is so simple and easy even I nailed it!
Great recipe, but skip the almond breeze almond milk!!! It contain carrageenan—look it up-it’s not healthy and causes inflammation.
Hi Monica. Just as an update, Almond Breeze is currently phasing out carrageenan from their products. First to market are Unsweetened Original and Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze shelf stable varieties, which are appearing on store shelves now. All Almond Breeze products will be carrageenan-free by early 2016!!
I’m with you, girl! I’m not ready to leave summer behind, even though fall is amazing. Love me some mango!
This looks delicious! I LOVE frozen mango straight from the bag. Next time I should actually save some for a smoothie 😉
Me tooo! It’s so good. 🙂
I tried this receipe today with a 50/50 ratio of almond milk and pineapple juice. It was delicious and satisfying.

I had the best mango lassi from this authentic Indian place near my school, but I haven’t had one since. But this recipe is definitely inspiring me! 🙂
Sounds like a delicious combination!!
Yum! I love how simple and easy this is. Great idea to add a pinch of cardamom. I bet a pinch of garam masala would be fabulous too! Can’t wait to dive in and drink up!
xx Sydney
