Roasted Broccoli

The recipe is one of my favorite side dishes. It’s really easy and tastes amazing! Depending on how much cayenne pepper you choose to use, it can get really spicy!

  • 1 large crown or 2 small crowns of broccoli with the large stems (the stump) cut off
  • 1- 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)

Heat oven to 425. Coat broccoli with the olive oil in a large bowl or on a cookie sheet. You can use your hands to make sure the oil is well coated on the broccoli. Sprinkle on the salt and pepper and mix well. If you were using a bowl put the broccoli on a baking sheet/cookie sheet and put it in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. Once the tops of the broccolli are a little brown you’ll know it’s done. But  make sure to keep an eye on it, especially if you cut your broccoli into small pieces because it can burn quickly.
