Some people would never dream of switching from regular peanut butter to a healthy version, and I thought I was one of those people. However, I tried Better N Peanut Butter and I have to admit this stuff is pretty tasty.
I don’t know if you guys have seen this on the shelf at any of your local grocers but I know they have it at Earth Fare and Trader Joes. I had seen it for quite some time and decided to buy it at some point about 2 years ago to give it a try because it has 1/2 the calories (100 per serving) of regular PB and only 2.5 grams of fat, 13g carbs, 0g fiber, 2g sugars, 4g protein. This version is also low sodium. And, it is made primarily of peanuts.
It makes my peanut butter and jelly sandwich pack less calories, which is a good thing because I ate one just about every night for dinner when I worked as a manager at a lame retail store in the mall. Plus I can’t really taste much difference when I eat better n pb on a sandwich. Sure, plain it does taste a little different, it tastes way sweeter to me and has more of a taffy like consistency than regular PB. So overall, my review for this product would go like this: I like it to use on sandwiches and in recipes but if your looking to eat PB and an apple. I would just go for the full fat regular peanut butter or some another nut butter. A little fat isn’t going to hurt, especially when the fats are good for you. Also, you can’t get Better n’ Peanut butter in crunchy, which is sad. It’s a toss up for me but I usually have both around to choose from because Isaac is definitely not into the Better n’ Peanut Butter.

I was always curious about this stuff b/c of the lack of the healthy fats – good review!
