An addictive blend of roasted nuts, sweet mango, dried cherries and curry seasonings, this Mango Curry Trail Mix is perfect for parties or on-the-go snacking!
Given my known love for all things curry you didn’t think I’d host a trail mix extravaganza without a curried trail mix, did you? Ummm no way!

I’m not sure if I’ve talked about it before but Isaac and I have a thing for Indian snack mixes. People call it a variety of different names = bombay mix, chiwda, chivda, bhuso, chevdo…. the list goes on. Whatever you call it, it’s a spiced snack mix similar to trail mix, but with things like lentils, peanuts, chickpeas, chickpea flour noodles, raisins and traditional Indian spices. It super crunchy, packed with flavor and so so good!

I can’t remember the first time I tried it, but we’ve been hooked on this stuff for quite some time. You can get it at Indian grocery stores.

Anyhow, this curried trail mix reminds me of those Indian snack mixes. It’s not 100% the same and I still have the urge to try my hand at making chiwda/chivda at home sometime soon, but it’s similar and crazy good in it’s own way.

This mix is the perfect combo of sweet and spicy — in a curry spice, not a hot and spicy kind of way. The dried mango and cherries add a nice change of texture and just the right amount of sweetness. If you’re a curry fan you will LOVE it!

I made it this morning. The curry/maple combo is great. My oven tends to slightly burn homemade nut mix and granola, so next time I’ll keep a better eye on it when baking.

I had to stop making this because I could not muster the will power to not eat all of it in one day. Literally all of it. Delish as a regular old trail mix, but also added to a neutral granola or with Greek yogurt. So good!!
