A delicious Breakfast Trail Mix with maple cinnamon roasted nuts, coconut flakes and dried berries. Perfect for eating on its own or as a topping for yogurt and oatmeal.
Have I ever mentioned that trail mix is one of my all-time favorite snacks? Or the fact that it inspired the name of this blog?!
Yup! For this reason I have a ton of trail mix recipes posted here on EBF!
And I know you are going to love this trail mix blend because it’s basically a breakfast delight in trail mix form with maple and cinnamon, two of the best breakfast flavors on the planet, lots of crunchy nuts, toasted coconut and dried berries.
It’s addictive, as all trail mix tends to be, so just be sure to measure out your ¼- ⅓ cup portion or else you might eat the whole batch in one sitting. <— Just trust me on this one. I took one for the team.
How to Enjoy Breakfast Trail Mix
I love to snack on trail mix as an afternoon snack, but this breakfast blend is perfect in the morning. I like to use it as a topping for yogurt or oats (like granola) or have it as a side with whatever else I’m having. It pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea.
That said, you can also toss the trail mix in a container or plastic baggie and munch it on the way to work or the gym! It’s super portable and doesn’t create a bunch of crumbs so it’s the perfect car snack.
If you’re short on time or don’t want to worry with roasting the trail mix you can totally make a raw version, toss the nuts, coconut and dried fruit together with the cinnamon and sea salt. Just skip the maple syrup and vanilla or else you’ll have a sticky mess on your hands. #whyamisticky

Oh, would I love a giant handful right now! This is a fabulous snack, and I love your idea to add it as a topping for oatmeal!
Thank you, Patricia. I hope you get a chance to try the recipe. 🙂
This looks like the perfect weekend movie snack!! 🙂
Yes!! Good minds think alike. I took this mix with me to see Hell or High Water last weekend and it was the perfect movie snack!!
It looks great. I definitely would have to put out a 1/4 or realistically 1/2 cup of it. And hide the rest from myself ! I don’t eat meat and nuts are my great source of protein a well as what is in fruits and veggies.
Yup!! That’s exactly what I do or else the whole batch is gone in one day. hehe
Just made this to have as a snack for my husband and I over the weekend. It’s so quick and easy and is such a healthy treat. The perfect amount of sweetness.
YUM! I love that you both enjoyed this recipe, Christine. Thank you so much for your review + star rating, I really appreciate it!
