These peanut butter Greek yogurt bites are the perfect treat with a smooth and creamy yogurt center and a crisp layer of chocolate on the outside.
I have been making these peanut butter Greek yogurt bites on repeat lately so I had to share! I love the combo of peanut butter and chocolate and the nutrition facts are on point with 6 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber per bite!
They kind of remind me of the Clio Snacks Greek yogurt bars and they’re soo easy to make. I can’t wait for you to try them.

Ingredients Needed
- Greek yogurt – I used Fage 5% full fat Greek yogurt because that’s what I keep on hand but you can use low fat or non fat, if desired. The center just won’t be as creamy.
- peanut butter powder – this adds protein, peanut butter flavor and helps firm up the Greek yogurt center. There are a lot of brands out there to choose from like PB Fit, PB2 or Clean Simple Eats powdered peanut butter (use code EBF for 10% off)
- peanut butter – this adds more peanut butter flavor and some richness to the bites.
- maple syrup – this is the natural sweetener I used to sweeten the bites. You’re welcome to use another liquid sweetener like monk fruit or stevia to make these lower in sugar.
- chocolate chips – I recommend using Lily’s dark chocolate chips. These particular chocolate chips will keep the bites lower in sugar and increase the fiber content.
- coconut oil – this is just to thin the chocolate mixture so it’s easier to dip the bites. The melted chocolate coconut oil mixture becomes like a homemade magic shell!
- flaky sea salt – this is just for topping and it’s totally optional, but I love a little flaky sea salt on my chocolate desserts.

Peanut Butter Greek Yogurt Bites
Ingredients
- ½ cup full fat Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup peanut butter powder, (PB Fit, PB2 or Clean Simple Eats powdered peanut butter)
- 1 Tablespoon peanut butter
- ½ tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ cup Lily's dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- flaky sea salt, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Add Greek yogurt, pb powder, peanut butter and maple syrup to a bowl. Stir to combine.
- Scoop mixture onto a parchment lined plate or small baking tray. I used a medium cookie scoop, which made 6 bites.
- Place bites in the freezer for about 10-20 minutes or until solid to the touch.
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil. Dip each yogurt bite into the melted chocolate to coat. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and place in the fridge for the chocolate to set and enjoy. Store bites in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Can you store these in the freezer instead of the refrigerator? I see them as being ice cream PB nuggets! 😀
Hi! Yes, you can absolutely store these in the freezer — they’ll be a bit firmer, more like ice cream bites just like you said. Just let them sit out for a few minutes before eating so they soften slightly. 🙂
The yogurt gets icy when stored in the freezer which gave it an off-putting texture to me and I found it lacked flavor. Once I started keeping them in the fridge, they were creamy and tasted good. I do however recommend freezing them after coating in chocolate and then moving to fridge, as the batch I did just using the fridge post coating never fully set and remained kind of melty getting chocolate all over when touched.
Hey Melissa – Thank you for your tips! This will be super helpful for some readers I’m sure! 🙂
These are too good to be true! Soooooo good!!!!!
Yay! So glad you loved this recipe, Jennifer. Thanks for making it and for coming back to leave a review. I so appreciate it!
These are amazing! I was actually making them for my husband who has a weakness for peanut butter cups but is trying to eat a bit healthier and increase his protein intake. I don’t personally care about that, but I could not stop eating them myself (so they’re not just good “for a healthy treat”, they’re just straight up awesome). Only change I made was to double the peanut butter powder to make them a bit firmer, but otherwise, as is, they are *chef’s kiss*
Woo!! That makes me so happy to hear, Amber. Love that both you and your husband enjoyed them! Thanks for making them and for coming back to leave a review. It means the world to me.
I admit I was skeptical at first…but WOW! I am already making my next batch. Thanks for the recipe!

These are so incredibly delicious! I made them exactly as the recipe states except substituted vanilla greek yogurt for the plain. I’ll definitely be making these at Christmas!
YUM! This sounds great, Aimee. I am so glad you gave these a try and they turned out amazing for you. Thank you for sharing your review & star rating, it means so much to me!
I love these for a healthy treat. I subbed vanilla protein powder instead of powdered peanut butter & omitted the maple syrup. I froze a little so they could be formed into balls.

Made these with vanilla flavored Greek yogurt instead of adding extra sugar (I suppose it’s same same really haha) and also added a frozen banana and they came out amazinggggggg!!!

Can you substitute honey for the maple syrup? Would the flavor change?
Hi Samantha – I have’t tried this recipe with honey, but it should be find. Might change the flavor profile a little bit. Let me know if you give these a try!
Made them. Love them. New favorite treat!

I really want to make these for my book club this month! I am NOT good in the kitchen, so hopefully I can manage. LOL. My question is: can I use Coconut MCT (liquid) oil or do I need to get the coconut oil that is solid at room temperature? Thank you!
Hi Michelle! I hope these are a hit, they are super easy to make. Yes, Coconut MCT oil should work just fine, it helps to harden the chocolate. Enjoy!
Just here to say that I added crushed peanuts on top with the flakey salt and it was next level! Tasted like a snickers ice cream bar! SO GOOD!
YUM! Love these little treats and I am glad to hear you are too, Taylor. Thanks for your review + star rating, I appreciate it!
These are just wow!!! I’ve tried a few variations of frozen Greek yogurt/chocolate variations and this is by far the best! The only sub I made was vanilla protein powder for PB powder, and doubled the recipe. Mine spread a bit but didn’t impact result. I used a toothpick to dip. They are sublime!!
YAY! This makes me so happy to hear, Kristin. I am so glad you are loving these little treats and they turned out amazing for you. Thanks for sharing your review + star rating, I truly appreciate it!
Excellent! For me- I think I’d add just a bit more sweetener to the yogurt part/ it would be worth the extra carbs. Also my dipping didn’t look nearly as smooth as the above … but no one cares because they are very very very good! Well worth it. Will keep the recipe around to keep tweaking.
WOO! I am so glad you are enjoying these treats, Brooke! Dipping can be a little tricky but this recipe is so versatile. Thank you for your review & star rating, I really appreciate it!
These are absolutely delicious! Like little cheesecake bites covered in chocolate! They came together super quickly and did not disappoint! 10/10!!
YUM! I am so glad you gave these treats a try and are loving them, Tori. Thank you so much for sharing your review & star rating, it means so much to me!
these are excellent! I don’t review very many recipes, but I had to review this one. these were delicious and I was very pleasantly surprised. I’ve tried other similar healthy peanut butter ball type recipes, but none with Greek yogurt. super yummy! I altered the recipe a bit to suit my needs so I left out the tablespoon of peanut butter. and I added a scoop of chocolate protein powder instead of the maple syrup. I also didn’t find it necessary to add the coconut oil to the chocolate chips. I just tempered it instead. thanks for a delicious recipe!

Lovely! I didn’t have pb powder, so in addition to extra pb in the yogurt, I added chopped peanuts to the chocolate topping. Also added a chunk of banana in the centre. I assembled in mini muffin cups as I usually make a mess when I try to dip chocolate. Will make again!
YUM! These are some of my favorite snacks, Laura. I am so glad you gave these a try and are loving them. Great idea to assemble in muffin cups to reduce the mess! Thanks so much for sharing your review + star rating, I really appreciate it!
I only have nonfat yogurt will that work?
That should be fine. They might not be as creamy though. Enjoy!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE!! It combines all my favorite things into one delicious treat! 🤩
I use sugar free vanilla yogurt instead of Greek yogurt and then I don’t put in the maple syrup and then I also use sugar free chocolate chips, it makes a super delicious sugar free treat 😋🩷
YUM! I am so excited to hear that you are loving these, Madi! Thanks so much for giving them a try and for sharing your review & star rating, I appreciate it!
I just made these for the first time. They were AHmazing!! Love them! A yummy and health-ier treat 🙂
WOO! So glad you gave these a try and are loving them. Thanks for coming back and sharing your review & star rating, I appreciate it!
Is the protein Powder or a must ? Because I don’t have any and here in Québec it is expensive – I wonder if I can try them without it…
The peanut butter powder helps to create more of a dough-like consistency for the center of these bites. I think if you skip it the middle will be too wet.
Can you use non fat Greek yogurt?
Sure! It might not be as creamy, but it’ll work great. Enjoy!
Can you store these in the freezer for longer than 3-4 days ?
Hi Niki – I haven’t had them last long enough to see if they last longer than 3-4 days. Let me know how it works for you!
I would love to make this in a coffee flavor because… everything is better in coffee flavor lol.
have you tried it by chance?
Ohh I haven’t – But I wonder if some instant coffee would work in here? Let me know if you give it a try!
Can you use real peanut butter instead of powdered peanut butter
Hi Lisa – I haven’t tried it, but that should work. I would recommend using 3 TBSP of natural peanut butter. Enjoy!
Sooooo I did these in low sugar with all ingredients. I try stay away from it but high protein and they still are amazing….so easy also. I’ll see when my hubby gets home and tests them out. Thank you for such a great recipe!!
YUM! I hope he loved them, Yvette. I am glad you gave these a try and they turned out great for you. Thanks for sharing your review + star rating, I appreciate it!
