English muffins, that is.
This morning I ate my second to last English muffin that I had in the freezer and I will eat the last one soon and never buy them again. The reason: I was pet/house sitting on Wednesday night and the next morning I went to make breakfast and the house I was staying at had Ezekiel English Muffins in the fridge. I had never had these before, but I had one with PB and fell in love at first bite. So hearty and tasty and even has less calories than the light multi-grain Thomas English Muffins. I didn’t scrutinize the nutritional information, but I am sure the Ezekiel ones are more nutrious than the Thomas’, which by the way I noticed today had a special marketing tagline on the packaging that said, “No longer made with high fructose corn syrup” hmm.. I didn’t know that was a part of their orginial recipe. That’s great for them and all but I’m still buying Ezekiel’s from now on!
Oh and this is what I like to do with English muffins for an on the go, homemade b-fast sandwich:
1 muffin
1 egg white mircowaved for 45 secs.
Morning Star Veggie Sausage
A bit of jelly
