These healthy and delicious avocado brownies are gluten-free, naturally sweetened and made with avocado instead of oil or butter. They're rich, fudgy and super easy to make!
Preheat oven to 350 F and line an 8x8 pan with parchment or spray with cooking spray.
Add cocoa powder, oat flour, baking powder and salt to a medium mixing bowl and stir until combined. Set aside.
Add avocado, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla to a food processor and blend until combined and smooth.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently stir until combined.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Pour mixture into prepared baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until brownies are set in the center and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let brownies cool completely. Cut into 9 pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Flour: I wouldn't recommend substituting the oat flour with another flour. If you're looking for brownies without flour, try my protein brownies or black bean brownies. You could also try my pumpkin brownies which are made with almond flour.
Maple syrup: You can use honey, agave syrup or monk fruit maple syrup as a replacement.
Chocolate chips: Feel free to skip these or swap them with a different mix-in like chopped nuts.
Vegan: I haven't tried these brownies without the eggs so I'm not sure how they would turn out. If you're looking for a vegan brownie recipe try my chickpea brownies or sweet potato brownies instead.
