This is the best grilled salmon recipe that results in flavorful, tender salmon every time! It cooks up in just 10 minutes for a quick and easy dinner option.
Make marinade by combining lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar or honey, dijon mustard and garlic in a gallon zip lock bag.
Place fish in the bag with marinade and let marinade for 2-3 hours.
After fish has marinated, preheat the grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate. Place salmon on the grill, skinless-side down and discard salmon marinade.
Cook salmon for a few minutes, just long enough to get grill marks and then flip so the salmon is skin-side down. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Remove from grill and serve warm.
Notes
Don't have a grill? You can use a grill pan instead!
Short on time? You can marinate the salmon for only 30 minutes if you're short on time. It just won't have time to soak up as much flavors.
Soy sauce: You can use tamari for a gluten-free option or coconut aminos if you prefer a soy-free alternative.
Sweetener: Coconut sugar, maple syrup or agave nectar can be used in place of brown sugar or honey for a different type of sweetness.
Garlic: Only have garlic powder on hand? Use 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder instead of 2 cloves.
