To me being healthy doesn’t mean going to the gym every day or eating a strict diet. It’s more about balancing physical, mental and spiritual aspects in addition to living a happy, long life. Eating Bird Food focuses on the food and fitness aspects but as you all know, I don’t eat 100% healthy all the time – some days I want ice cream or pizza or even a glass of wine and when my mind or body isn’t feeling a visit to the gym, I take a rest day. To be honest – I think all those things are fine and even necessary. I don’t deprive myself or push myself to exhaustion and because of this, I am able to make smart choices by default the majority of the time. Sometimes I find that people think it’s an all or none approach and it’s really not. Small changes can add up and being healthy doesn’t mean not having fun or not being able to enjoy food. It’s quite the opposite actually. 🙂
