Nutella Rugelach

Sharing a delicious twist on the classic Jewish pastry with this Nutella Rugelach. It follows a traditional recipe but is made with Nutella instead of jam or chocolate chips. It’s the perfect sweet treat for Hanukkah!

Ingredients

Beat together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar, egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Slowly beat in flour.

1. Make Dough

Remove from bowl, and divide into 3 pieces on a lightly floured surface. Pat into disks, and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 1 hour up to overnight.

2. Chill Dough

In a food processor, combine walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pulse until fine.

3. Process Walnuts

On a lightly floured surface, roll one piece of dough into a 12-inch round. Spread with Nutella and sprinkle with 1/3 of the nut mixture.

4. Top Dough

Cut the round into 16 equal-sized wedges (triangle shaped like pizza slices).

5. Cut Dough

Starting at the bottom (widest part) of the triangle, roll and pinch end to secure. Brush tops with egg whites. Bake until golden brown.

6. Roll + Bake
