How to Toast Coconut

Here's how to toast coconut! It's incredibly easy, takes less than 10 minutes and the end result is crunchy and aromatic toasted coconut that you can enjoy as is or use in recipes.

Spread coconut out on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake until coconut is lightly golden and fragrant, 5-10 minutes at 325°F, flipping 1-2 times.

Method 1: Toasting  in the Oven

Add coconut to a skillet over medium heat. Let toast, stirring frequently until coconut is lightly golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool.
