Healthy  Sugar Cookies

These healthy sugar cookies are made with whole wheat flour and are naturally sweetened with maple syrup. They have a delicious, buttery flavor and the perfect texture for making cut-out cookies!


Mix wet ingredients together.

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

Cream together butter and maple syrup. Add egg and vanilla.

2. Cream Butter

Slowly combine dry ingredients into butter mixture.

3. Mix Together

Wrap dough in plastic wrap. Chill 1-2 hours or overnight.

4. Chill Dough

Sprinkle flour on a rolling surface and rolling pin. Roll out dough 1/4-1/3 inch thick.

5. Roll Out Dough

Cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet.

6. Cut Out Cookies

Bake cookies and cool on a cooling rack.

7. Bake Cookies

Make icing by whisking together almond milk, powdered sugar and vanilla. Ice cookies and add sprinkles. Enjoy!
