Healthy  Chocolate Muffins

These healthy chocolate muffins are made with whole wheat flour, applesauce and are naturally sweetened with maple syrup. They're fudgy, rich, perfectly moist and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

In a medium mixing bowl combine the whole wheat pastry flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk. Add maple syrup, applesauce, non-dairy milk, coconut oil and vanilla and whisk until combined.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients

Add the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk together until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

3. Mix Batter

Pour batter evenly between 12 muffin tins. Bake 20 minutes at 350°F.

4. Bake

Let muffins cool in the tin for about 5 minutes or so, then remove and let cool completely on a wire rack.

5. Cool + Enjoy
