Coconut Crunch Donuts  (Hostess Copycat)

These coconut crunch donuts taste just like the Hostess donettes, but are made with healthier ingredients. A soft cake donut is baked then dipped in warm honey and finished with toasted shredded coconut.

Ingredients

Toast coconut flakes on a lined cookie sheet.

1. Toast Coconut

Stir together whole wheat pastry flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix in coconut sugar, Greek yogurt, almond milk, egg, vanilla and coconut oil.

2. Make Batter

Pipe batter into a prepared donut pan. Bake donuts.

3. Bake Donuts

Heat honey up slightly. Dip donuts in the honey, and then coat with the toasted coconut flakes.
