Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls

Make cinnamon rolls from scratch with this easy recipe that's perfect for beginners! They're soft, gooey, and made with bread flour, which gives them the perfect fluffy texture. Overnight instructions included.


Dissolve yeast into warm milk and let sit 10 minutes.

1. Prep Yeast

In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix flour, salt and sugar. Add melted butter, egg and yeast mixture. Knead. Cover dough and let rise.

2. Knead Dough + Rise

Roll risen dough onto a floured surface and spread with softened butter.

3. Roll Out Dough

Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

4. Add Cinnamon 

Roll cinnamon roll dough into a log and cut into “rolls.” Let rolls rise another 45 minutes.

5. Roll + Slice

Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden in color and cooked through and no longer doughy.

6. Bake

Whip together Greek yogurt, cream cheese, maple syrup and vanilla.

7. Make Frosting

Spread frosting on warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy!

8. Frost + Enjoy!
