SAVE $ on Organic Food
I recently picked up THE WHOLE DEAL – a booklet from Whole Foods that have coupons from Mambo Sprouts. There are a ton of great coupons for organic food items in the booklet, which can be used at any retail store- not just Whole Foods. You can sign up for the newsletter and get coupons mailed to you and they also offer printable coupons from the website. I was excited about this because I like buying organic when possible but it’s EXPENSIVE sometimes. Finding ways to save money on one of my biggest expenses- FOOD- is a good thing in my book.
On to Friday’s eating extravaganza:
I ate almost the same things as Thursday because it was EASY. I’m not going to post the photos, because literally you could look at yesterday’s post and see what I ate. I ate left-overs for every meal except breakfast – which was the same ol same ol – banana oatmeal with flax and a spoonful of PB!
For lunch I had some O% Strawberry Chobani Greek yogurt (more on that later) the rest of my southwestern tofu wrap – which still tasted amazing, btw! For dinner I had the 1 slice of leftover pizza, which didn’t really fill me up. To make a healthy, balanaced meal I had some raisin bran cereal with almond milk. That was all well and good until I went a little crazy and got out the icecream from Wednesday and polished off the rest of the container. I should have known better and portioned it out into a bowl (not that that really helps either because on Wednesday I went back to the freezer 3 times to get more.) Haha- this is why I go out and get icecream when I am craving it rather than buying it to keep at the house. At least it was just a pint size container and not a 1/2 gallon!
Have a Great Weekend – I’m pretty excited because a friend and I are going hiking/camping today at Shenandoah National Park- Big Meadows and then Sunday we are going to a Green Festival in DC. It should be a fun weekend!
