Hearts of Palm Vegan BBQ Sandwich


Description

The BEST vegan BBQ sandwich made with shredded hearts of palm, homemade BBQ sauce and a crunchy apple cider vinegar coleslaw.

Instructions

  1. Place hearts of palm into the bowl of a food processor (affiliate link). Pulse a few times, just until pieces are chopped into bite-size shreds. If you do not have a food processor (affiliate link) you can shred the hearts of palm by hand, similar to how you pull apart a cheese stick.
  2. Warm 2 cups of BBQ sauce in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add shredded hearts of palm, toss to coat all pieces and heat until mixture is warm.
  3. Prepare sandwiches by adding a good amount of the BBQ mixture onto a burger bun, top with apple cider vinegar coleslaw and enjoy immediately.

Notes

**Feel free to use store-bought BBQ sauce if you don’t have time to make the homemade recipe.
