I’m not sure why I’m just now realizing it, but I think I need some new dishes. We are still using the ones Isaac’s mom let him bring to college. I guess we just never really thought about it, but after taking tons of food photos, I’m thinking I really need some more photogenic plates. (hint hint Isaac- I have a b-day coming up!)
In other administrative news- I updated the about me page! I hoped to add more pictures, but for some reason I couldn’t find many on my computer from 2003 and earlier. I actually think the reason might be because I didn’t have a digital camera then… oh well.
Even though it was freezing this morning, with ice coming down and all, I was still craving cold cereal. I had a concoction of Kashi Go Lean, Nature Path’s O’s, a few raisins and unsweetened vanilla almond milk:

I came home in the icy mess for lunch. I was so tempted just to quickly go to Subway, but decided I should save my money and eat the stuff I just recently bought at the grocery. I ended up making a quick salad, with romaine, broccoli, sugar snap peas, red-peppers, and sauerkraut.

And left over Annie’s mac and cheese shells with tuna mixed in. I hadn’t had Annie’s mac and cheese before and it was pretty good. I probably wont buy it that often because mac and cheese isn’t something I crave very often, but mixed with the tuna it was pretty tasty.

AND, I finally got my hands on one of these bars when I went to Whole Foods this past weekend!! The White Chocolate Macadamia Nut bar – I loved this thing.. and this is saying something because I don’t even like White Chocolate. I ate half for an after lunch snack and then ate the other half before going to the gym this evening. So good, I will definitely be buying it again.

And here is my small afternoon snack:

Just kidding!! Isaac made what he likes to call a Triple Decker Delight- to be funny he took a picture of it so I would see it when I uploaded my photos to post tonight. I thought I would share it just in case anyone wants to recreate this monster of a sandwich. He used 3 pieces of toasted bread, hummus, spinach, 2 eggs, pepper-jack cheese, dijon mustard, sugar snap peas, and grape tomatoes. This was his after school snack :)
Last but not least after I hit up the gym for a little cardio action, I came home and made some Garlic- Teriyaki Tempeh with broccoli. It was really good, and extremely filling. I’ll add the recipe to the recipe section a.s.a.p!

Tonight I’ve been trying to get Olive to recognize me as the Pack Leader. I’ve been researching online and practicing with her. But she still won’t come when I call her.
Any dogs owners have any tips on how to get puppies to listen?
