To celebrate the 4th I decided to do a red, white and blue breakfast this morning:

Twas delicious, filling and festive!
- Trader Joe’s High Fiber Cereal (45% of my daily iron needs and lots of fiber!!)
- Barbara’s Gluten Free Brown Rice Cereal (snap, crackle, pop – like fireworks)
- Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (my favorite non diary milk)
- BERRIES
Yesterday I spent most of my day by the pool and it seems as though today is going to be no different. I’m off to a friend’s cookout/pool party then heading to see fireworks in Northern VA. It should be a fun day. I’m planning to bring my annual July 4th dish to the cookout, but you’ll have to wait and see what it is because I’m a slacker and haven’t made it yet.
Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans and Happy Sunday to everyone else. What are your plans for the day?

Everyone always told me that Richmond never gets any snow. HA- I’m not sure I can believe them – I’ve been living here two years and we’ve had big snow storms (with over 6-8 inches of snow) both winters.
Perhaps I brought the snow???

Here’s the view from my back door.
And, remember my new blogging spot back in August?

Well, lets just say that it’s turned into a snow cake.

I love the snow, however it stinks that the storm came this weekend- I was suppose to go to my college roomie’s wedding today!! Considering all the snow we accumulated last night and the fact that it’s still snowing, I don’t think we’re going to be able to make it!
Anna, if you read this, I hope you and David had a fabulous wedding day and here’s a big congrats and hug from me to you!!
I slept in until 8 this morning (so nice!), had some warming lemon tea and then made a quick bowl of cereal.

Kashi’s Warm Cinnamon Heart to Heart, a few Chex, 1/2 of sliced banana, and regular 2% (organic) milk. Had to get some fuel for playing in the snow or baking some goodies in the kitchen!
Do you love snow? What do you like to do when you’re snowed in?
