Tonight I went to Fredericksburg, which I consider my home town, although I grew up about 30 minutes away. I lived in a very small town and the closest shopping center was in Fredericksburg. Anyhow, for Father’s Day my dad and I celebrated early and went out to dinner tonight at Sammy T’s: a well known vegetarian/vegan friendly restaurant that never disappoints. I had the gaspazo, which was amazing, and really made me want to try to make some of my own and Ellen’s salad: Tabouli served over spinach with small felafel patties & lemon tahini dressing. AHHHH it was soo soo good! I wish this place was near my current living location because I would consider eating there everyday. I was really hungry so I took a bite of the felafel before for pict.
My dad got the chicken wrap, and I didn’t photograph that. I think my dad was wierded out that I took a photo of my own food so I wasn’t going to ask to take one of his. After dinner we went to Carl’s Icecream. A renowned place for old fashioned delicious ice cream in Old Town Fredericksburg. It’s a real treat to go to this place and has been a favorite of mine, and I’m sure lot’s of other peoples, since childhood. No photo of the icecream because I ate it fast so it wouldn’t melt.
