Thank you guys for all the sweet comments about our move. A few of you have asked if we bought this house and the answer is no, we’re renting. We thought about buying when our landlord told us we had 60 days to move but it just wasn’t feasible for us with that amount of time. We hadn’t planned on moving this year, let alone buying a house. Weddings aren’t cheap!
But, we’re still in the city of Richmond, not too far from where we were before, which was the center of Carytown. We spent last night cleaning the old place and doing the walk-through with our landlord. I don’t know if it was the emotional stress of moving or just the thought of all the good times we shared in our old place over the past three years, but I was a little weepy (and now I’m tearing up as I write this). I would just look around at things, for instance the empty spot where our Christmas tree used to go each year, and the tears would come. It’s amazing how attached we get to things…
Isaac quickly cheered me up, took me out to dinner (I think I was also hangry) and reminded me that there are a lot of positives to moving and we’ll create plenty of happy memories in our new place. He’s a wise ol’ owl.
Anyhow, enough about that, I have a fun giveaway for you guys this morning. If you’ve been eating EBF for awhile you’ll know that I’m a Love Grown Foods Love Blogger. I’ve blogged about Love Grown Foods and their awesome Oat Clusters (you may remember my Chocolate Peanut Butter LOVE Cookies) and more recently the launch of their Hot Oats. Well folks, Love Grown Foods has done it again and they’re now offering Super Oats with chia.
Super Oats include a combination of gluten-free grains (oats, quinoa, and amaranth) and the super seed chia with almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds and flaxseed to make a unique and delicious hot breakfast cereal! These oats are ready for breakfast in only a few minutes and they work great for baking as well. I love that theses oats are unsweetened, so you can sweeten them how you like and add your own toppings like dried/fresh fruit, cinnamon, coconut or nut butter.
You can get Love Grown Foods products, including the Hot Oats and Super Oats, at The Fresh Market, Kroger, City Market, King Soopers, QFC, Fred Meyer, Dillons, Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Sprouts, and select regions of Whole Foods.
Lucky for you guys, Love Grown has offered me the opportunity to host a giveaway for a huge LOVE prize pack with 2 bags of Super Oats (one of each flavor), 1 bag of Oat Clusters granola (you get to pick the flavor), and 4 Hot Oats Cups (1 of each flavor)!!
