Product Love: purely elizabeth giveaway

by on July 19, 2013

Oh hi there.

purelyelizabeth_0089_web

Would you like a bite?

Today I want to share with you my latest brand crush. It’s a company called purely elizabeth and I met the founder, Elizabeth, last year at Expo East. I remember being drawn to her booth by the smell of freshly baked cookies. Once at the booth I got distracted by the granola samples and never ended up trying a cookie (which I’m totally regretting right now) but I fell in love with her products after trying the Pumpkin Fig granola. <– Oh yes, it’s as good as it sounds.

purely elizabeth makes some delicious granola as well as cookie and pancake mixes. All the products are made with all-natural and organic ancient grains and superfood seeds AND they’re free of refined sugar, dairy, wheat and gluten. Plus, they taste really, really good!

After chatting with Elizabeth I learned that she was a graduate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the same holistic health coaching program that I graduated from and there was an instant connection. After the expo I started following purely elizabeth through social media and realized that I not only liked their products but I really liked their brand and the content they shared. Check out the Summer Magazine to see what I mean. It’s full of beautiful photos, awesome product guides (love the style) and healthy recipes — I’ve been eyeing the spicy fries and the roasted pineapple habanero margarita.

I ended up winning a Facebook giveaway that purely elizabeth was hosting earlier this summer and got to taste two of their new granola bars (which aren’t for sale just yet) and was then offered to host a giveaway on EBF. With all the wedding stuff going on this summer it’s taken me quite a while to get this post together but today seems like the perfect day for a purely elizabeth giveaway!

The giveaway includes 3 bags of ancient grain granola (Original, Cranberry Pecan and Blueberry Hemp) AND a box of the gluten-free perfect pancake mix, which has no sugar and is made from five whole grain flours (millet, teff, buckwheat, corn and garbanzo fava bean flours) and superfood seeds (flax seed, hemp seed and chia seeds).

Purely elizabeth giveaway

Alright, enough raving from me. If you can’t tell, I’m quite certain you guys are going to love purely elizabeth products.

If you’re interested in trying them, enter the giveaway by leaving a comment with which purely elizabeth product you’re most excited about. If you’ve already tried them, let me know which is your favorite. Oh, and just for fun, you can earn an extra entry by tweeting about the giveaway (just make sure to include @purelyelizabeth and @eatingbirdfood in your tweet with a link to this post), then come back here to leave a comment letting me know you tweeted. The giveaway ends July 23, 2013 at 11:59PM.

Happy Friday!

Photos used in this post are property of Purely Elizabeth.

**Edited to note: The giveaway has ended and the winner is Katie. Thanks to everyone for entering!

Hello!
I’m most excited about the granola! (Although I also love pancakes as a weekend treat after my long Saturday morning runs…so that would not go to waste ;)

I have always had a big sweet tooth and I’ve gotten much better at eliminating junky desserts over the past few years. Still, I am always drawn to new products that have a clean ingredient list and limited refined sugar to help me stay fueled properly. Would love to have a chance to try out the purely elizabeth granola!

Have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness. I just discovered Purely Elizabeth (great name as my birthday is Elizabeth, LOL). Unfortunately, I am not currently working, so the budget is tight, tight, tight. I am so excited to have the opportunity to be finally be able to try these awesome looking gluten free, pure ingredient products. I am a plain girl, so I would like to first try the plain granola. Also, the blueberry hemp would be my runner up. Love granola, but hard to find one that is gluten free and doesn’t contain ingredients I am intolerant of. These products fit the bill! Hopeful! Thanks so much for such wonderful products and the opportunity to try them, finally! :)

Happy Friday to you Brittany,
I was just thinking this morning as I was eating something for breakfast, as I added three different kinds into one bowl..there has to be something out there that I wouldn’t feel so guilty in eating even though it has all the healthy carbs I love the textures of oatmeal. The ones I eat are a combination of these “lovely elizabeth” products but, it would be nice to have it all inclusive. :) Not to mention, I just thought of a fun thing to try should I win and even if I don’t maybe combine the lovely granola into the pancake mix. As I love adding things to my pancakes such as nuts and fresh fruit. You got me hooked on chia seeds so I am adding that to both my oatmeal and smoothies. So yummy! Another quick note, I would love to win this so I can make the pancakes for my family as weekends are bigger breakfast days because we are not in such a rush to run to get out the door. I always try to make a special meal with something nice, filling, homemade and healthy. <3 Thank you, and just a question? Would a post on Facebook count instead of Twitter?? I love everything about what you share. It helps to keep me focused on living healthy and positive. Thank you. <3
