Let Freedom Ring

by Eating Bird Food on July 4, 2010

To celebrate the 4th I decided to do a red, white and blue breakfast this morning:

4th of July

Twas delicious, filling and festive!

  • Trader Joe’s High Fiber Cereal (45% of my daily iron needs and lots of fiber!!)
  • Barbara’s Gluten Free Brown Rice Cereal (snap, crackle, pop – like fireworks)
  • Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (my favorite non diary milk)
  • BERRIES

Yesterday I spent most of my day by the pool and it seems as though today is going to be no different. I’m off to a friend’s cookout/pool party then heading to see fireworks in Northern VA. It should be a fun day. I’m planning to bring my annual July 4th dish to the cookout, but you’ll have to wait and see what it is because I’m a slacker and haven’t made it yet. :)

Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans and Happy Sunday to everyone else. What are your plans for the day?

-Brittany

Sounds like you have the perfect 4th planned! I celebrated the fourth on the third, so today is a day of rest and recuperation curled up in my bed ; )

We went for a walk this AM, I made brunch (omelettes), we lounged (a lot), made dinner, played with the kitties, got froyo, and came home. Now watching fireworks on tv… too hot outside!! (90 something and humid)

Hello love! That breakfast definitely looks colorful and patriotic :D And yummy too! Unfortunately, the weather changed our plans for 4th of July, but atleast we got a funny movie to shake the blues away! Have you seen “It’s Complicated”? Oh my gosh it’s hilarious!!! Anyway, I hope you have a great day today, and that yesterday was a great one as well :)

XOXO

My boyfriend and I drank champagne and went for a long walk on the beach near our house. Luckily it was late and we missed the fireworks. Not a fan of the noise. I’m an odd one.
