Candy Valley Cake Pops & A Giveaway

by Eating Bird Food on July 23, 2010

Ever heard of cake on a stick? Yea, me neither – until a lovely friend of my mine introduced me to Candy Valley Cake Pops, a local company that makes the cutest, tastiest cake lollipops you’ve ever seen.

Of course, the signature King of Pops had me drooling from the get go – chocolate cake with a vanilla candy shell, topped with a mix of pretzels, nuts, fleur de del, chocolate chips, butterscotch, potato chips and more crunchy stuff!

Keya, the company owner, passed along some cake pops for me to try out (thanks Steph for delivering them!)

I had just started my eating clean goals and decided to let Isaac, the king of all things sweet, be the primary taste tester of these cake pops – although I did snag a nibble here and there. ;) And actually these little guys are nice because they’ll cure any sweet tooth with just a small pop rather than a huge slice of cake (portion control at it’s finest).

We’re pretty sure this one was the Frou Frou aka Cheesecake Brownie

The 4th of July cake pop definitely brought a few fireworks to our mouth

And the mint chocolate chip (chocolate cake with a minty vanilla candy shell and small chocolate mints coating the outside) was the biggest hit!! Isaac doesn’t even like mint chocolate but after one bite said that this little pop was like cake crack. I’m pretty sure that means it was good.

I have some sweet news for you this Friday morning! The generous folks over at Candy Valley are offering up 1 dozen of free cake pops to one lucky EBF reader.

Just hop over to their website and tell me which flavor you’d most like to try to be entered to win. Simple as that!

Additional entries can be gained by “liking” Candy Valley on Facebook or by tweeting ‘ I want to win a dozen Candy Valley Cake Pops from @eatingbirdfood http://bit.ly/9EmEBi ‘. Please leave an extra comment telling me you’ve done either of those things so I can count the extra entry when I randomly select a winner. All entries must be received before Tuesday, July 27 at 11:59PM EST.

Good luck and lovely Friday!

-Brittany

Well, it’s hard to say no to such a hearty commendation as “cake crack,” but I’ll have to go with my standard favorite, red velvet.

Rachael July 23, 2010 at 8:44 pm

So cute – isn’t there a movie or books that posits there needs to be more food on a stick?
My boyfriend serves as my food taster too at times – I live vicariously through his enjoyment and the occasional wee nibble…

Rhea (Greek Feaster) July 23, 2010 at 10:16 pm
