Nourish Your Inner Goddess Giveaway

by Eating Bird Food on April 22, 2010

Greek yogurt has essentially stormed the US and blog world for that matter. It’s no wonder considering everyone loves it’s thick and creamy texture and the vast amount of protein. So we all know and love Fage, Okios, and Chobani, but the new Greek kid on the block is Yoplait Greek.

Here’s the details on Yoplait Greek
  • It comes in 4 different flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla and Plain
  • The package size (6 oz) is smaller than most Greek yogurts, making it perfect for a snack
  • Each cup contains 12 grams of protein, 2 times that of the leading regular yogurt
  • Yoplait Greek is the only leading brand of Greek yogurt with vitamins A and D
  • At a suggested retail price of $1.19, Yoplait Greek is affordable, when compared to similar Greek yogurt products.

A few weeks ago I received a lovely spa package from Yoplait Greek and My Blog Spark including a robe, slippers, bath scrubbies, and 2 free coupons to try Yoplait Greek.

I used to adore Yoplait strawberry yogurt, so for nostalgia’s sake I’d have to try that. The honey vanilla sounds pretty dreamy too though!

The plain! I cannot find any in small containers, and have been dying to find some Greek yogurt that
can be found mainstream.

I’d love to try blueberry!

I’d like to try the honey vanilla variety, because plain Greek yogurt is often too tart, and bringing along honey to mix in your yogurt when you’re on-the-go can be a pain in the toucas!

I’ve tried the blueberry and honey vanilla, so I’d really like to try the plain. Sounds like it would be good topped with granola and berries.

I’ve only tried the strawberry and was very impressed. It is very thick, more like sour cream texture than the store bought yogurt I am used to. It really made my morning mixture of yogurt, oatmeal, walnuts and craisins into something very special – very different. Am looking forward to trying the others.

Yoplait is a classic I’m so happy they went greek. Plain greek yogurt is my newest discovery and allows me to go crazy with granola and fruit toppings or with honey and spices as a dip in fruit, crudite, or crackers. It’s crazy versatile!

I want to try regular old strawberry! That’s the flavor I eat when I have regular yogurt so I’m curious to compare it to Greek yogurt.
