I decreased the size of all the photos for this post in photoshop and saved them for the web. Hopefully this actually does something helpful for load time because it took a good chunk of time. Luckily I didn’t eat a ton today and only had 6 photos to share. :) On that note, if anyone with a Digital SLR has any tips on what they do with their photos before putting them in their posts, I need some advice. Is there a faster method than formatting each photo individually?

Okay, now to the fun stuff… I had the stove top version of yesterday’s breakfast. Have a mentioned how much I love sliced bananas cooked in with the oats?

oats.jpg

And, as it turns out this combo was just as creamy as it’s microwaved counterpart. Take that electromagnetic waves. <– I think I had been slacking on the milk and bananas lately and had forgotten how creamy they make oats.

I walked home for lunch in the damp, cold weather and all I wanted was some warm soup.

progresso.jpg

Turns out I had a lone can of Progresso High Fiber Tomato Basil waiting in the back of the cabinet. It was actually quite tasty, probably due to the fact that it has 13g of sugar per serving. I wasn’t too excited when I read that. :/

I also had a few crackers topped with left-over tuna salad.

And, drum roll please… I didn’t have a lunch dessert. 1 March Madness Challenge goal met for the day! <–Speaking of which, I am super excited that many of you want to join in on the March Madness Challenge. I would love to hear about your goals so leave a comment or shoot me an email and let me know what your plan is!! Also, it’s not too late to join, hop on board the challenge train today!

No sweet snack right after lunch, however I did however pack this guy for later in the afternoon.

ProbarFruition.jpg

Yum! I’m still loving the chia seeds in these fruition bars.

Isaac picked me up from the office and we hit up the gym a strength training workout – Biceps and Back. We usually both go our separate ways at the gym but it was fun to workout together. It made me workout a bit harder, which is always a good thing, right?

I was starving for dinner – I almost forgot to take a picture! I had the same salad from last night with a bowl of leftover sweet potato lentil chili that had been in the freezer.

The Morningstar veggie chik’n patties I’ve been having in my salads lately are awesome. The ingredient list is a little long but I must say that I’m totally digging them right now! They’re super quick to heat up and the taste is really good – nothing like actual chicken.

Now ladies and gentlemen (yes- I do have a few male readers!!), I give you the latest and greatest feature of EBF – Fridge Finds Wednesday!

Each Wednesday I’m going to feature something about, in, on, or around my fridge – a new product, a photo that hangs on the front of it, or who knows what. I think it will be fun.

And, who better to start off this feature than Mr. Robert Zimmerman aka Bob Dylan.

bobdylan.jpg

This a postcard (purchased but never sent to anyone) that is hanging on our fridge with a cool homemade bottle cap magnet. And, since he’s made the blog, here’s a nice little tune for you to enjoy – my favorite Bob Dylan song!

Love, hate or never listened to Dylan? I wanna know!!

It’s now 9PM, which means I’m done with this post just in time for the new episode of Modern Family that’s coming on!! So excited.

I’ve never listened to him! Which is odd, since I love older music so much.

*sigh* Bob Dylan is the sound of my childhood…
I’ve been using Adobe Lightroom, which is a LOT quicker than regular photoshop…

Bob Dylan fan here. Saw him in his hay day, 1963 or 64 at the Mosque aka Landmark. Who would have thought he’d make it to your refrigerator in 2010. I think your March Madness healthy month will motivate me to even try a little harder with my own struggles.

Thanks Brittany

haven’t listened in awhile! I just found windows live gallery works really well for re-sizing a large group of photos all at once. It’s not the best for viewing, but it works well for re-sizing! When I bike with Chris it always pushes me harder which is a good thing when we biked to work yesterday :) I’ve never tried those fruition bars, sound good! I forgot to ask what you thought of TJ’s pb?

I’m still working on the pb, but I like it!!!

Great song. “You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows…”

I enjoyed that soup the other day! I also have that postcard and love Bob Dylan..saw him at ACL a couple of years ago. My favorite song is either Simple Twist of Fate or Don’t Think Twice. Have you seen No Direction Home? If not, you must check it out!

yay for March Madness goal!

I may have more, but for now, mine are:
- Pack better snacks! I don’t think I’m eating enough and I get hungry in the afternoon, but either don’t have any food or don’t want to just have another bar. I need to brainstorm some snack ideas.
- More veggies than fruit

Congrats on your goal! “nothing like actual chicken” – music to my ears! I’ll have to look into that chik’n.

I literally was just listening to Bob Dylan :)

I am sure that I like Bob Dylan, but I don’t know any of his songs by title.
March madness goals:
-Only eat when I am hungry.
-No distractions when eating. Except maybe some nice music.
-Check ingredient lables.
-Try to get protein and fiber from multiple sources.

I still need to come up with a fitness goal or two and maybe another nutritional goal.
I love the idea of “Fridge Find Wednesday’s”- too cute and interesting to boot.

About the pictures – is it that they are too large too upload? I resize all my pictures using a program – I just plop them in and it does it for me automatically. You have a mac right?

Yes, there is a much, much easier way right in your wordpress dashboard. Under the settings menu, click on media then you can have it auto size all of your photos pixels. Easy peasy. I always choose large when loading the photos so I have my large set to 413 X 309 but that may be different since we use different themes. Email me if you have questions.

You have to resize them or else it takes up too much space on your blog’s server. I had to learn this the hard way…Hungry Yogini was shut down for a while cuz I had been uploading full resolution images. Ooopsie.

You can also upload to flickr, and then just imbed links instead of pulling from your computer.

I love Bobby D!! I’ve been reading awhile and decided to comment just because I love him so much.. and really enjoy your blog! I like working out with my boyfriend too cuz he motivates me to lift more! Nice work on the March Madness goals!

I have to resize all of my photos, whether they are from my DSLR or point & shoot, because they are all way too big. You could decrease the quality you are shooting with, but I would rather downsize them later. I always do them individually with a photo editing program, because I like to tweak other thing about them, but I’m crazy like that.
