Making the Rounds

by Eating Bird Food on December 23, 2009

You’re going to be shocked, but I had something different for breakfast this morning. No oats, no cereal, not yogurt and granola….

BUT, toast with Artisana raw organic walnut butter and homemade orange marmalade, an apple (x2), and some TJ’s Simply the Best Trail Mix.

The marmalade wasn’t just any marmalade, but a homemade jar that one of Isaac’s co-workers gave him as a gift this year. It’s the best orange marmalade I’ve ever had. Perfectly sweet with chunks of fresh orange and orange peel. So delicious!

And look what we found, Nature’s Pride Bread. Gotta represent. :)

After breakfast and a trip to the gym I packed up my things. And, the presents for my family.

I made a spinach salad with green pepper, red onion, broccoli, grapefruit, and warm tofu with Napa Valley blackberry, pear balsamic vinegar as dressing for the road.

Delicious food, made fast!

Isaac and I went to visit my uncle, who is in the ICU unit of hospital and not doing well. It was quite a sad afternoon, but I am happy that I was able to see him and to be there for my Dad and cousin. We’re staying with my Dad tonight and then visiting family (making the rounds) all day tomorrow.

Tell your loved ones that you love them today!

Look at you switching it up all crazy like! I LOVE it!
I’m sorry about your uncle. :( I hope he’s as comfortable as possible! I just lost my aunt to cancer and I agree with you – tell people you love them all the time (and show it too)!
That being said, LOVE YOU!
