I started my morning off right by having a little B-nut Oats in a Jar!

1/4 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup oat bran
1/2 cup canned butternut squash
1 cup water
dash of cinnamon
Everything above was cooked on the stovetop and then placed into an almost empty jar of better n’ pb. YUM! This is seriously the best way to finish off a jar of nut butter. Every oatmeal bite has a little hint of that nutty goodness. I wish I could have oats in a jar everyday, but I guess that would entail having a new almost empty jar of nut butter everyday. Probably not possible, but I bet some pb lovers out there have a good 5-7 different jars going at once.
Just for fun- how many jars of nut butter do you have open right now?
Speaking of jars. I decided to break out a small jar of Napa Valley Spicy Apple Mustard that I received in was swag bag at the Foodbuzz Festival.

This mustard is delish- it’s sweet, yet very spicy. It went perfectly in my Chipotle GardenBurger wrap.

Spring mix, sun dried tomatoes, red onion, the burger, and mustard were all wrapped up in a whole wheat tortilla,

It ended up being a hot (and delicious) lunch as the burger and mustard were both on the spicy side!

I had pricey afternoon snack.

I’m thinking the price was worth it because it kept me filling full all afternoon- which is a difficult task.
Isaac and I celebrated Hanukkah with his family tonight. Sorry this post is short and sweet but I need to get some sleep.
Happy almost Humpday!

I found a solution to a lack of jars today: I smeared almond butter around just a plain old empty jar! I might repeat it tomorrow.
Ironically, I only have one open jar right now. Sad,I know.
MMM so jealous of your oats in a jar. I’m truckin along with my 8 jars trying to empty them out. It’s great having a bunch of jars open because you can see which ones you subconsciously like better. Barney Butter and Maranatha AB are winning out in my fridge. Love that flavor of Kombucha
Oh I love this mustard, so good! They sell it at World Market in case you run out and are looking for more
Happy humpday!
The mustard sounds delish!
I’m right there with you on the oats in a jar. Best breakfast ever. I have 3 jars open right now…and one is ALMOST ready for OIAJ.
Those burgers are so spicy! I had one yesterday – love them!! I can’t power through peanut butter like other bloggers so I have yet to try the OIAJ. Bnut oats sound really good though!
you reminded me that I need to open that mustard, too! I still haven’t tried it yet.
I love red onion in wraps – it’s always so good.
Hope you’re having a good day!
I had oats in a jar this morning
Your wrap looks amazing
And love the snack… kombucha tea — our favorite!!!! Worth every penny in our opinion LOL
I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never done the oats in a jar thing. I know – I need to try it. Yours look delicious! I do have a bottle of Kombucha in my fridge right now that I need to try as well! I’m so behind the times.
Oats in a jar are the best! I actually get excited when I get towards the end of a jar.
That wrap looks killer!!! I love all the colors and it just looks so yummy. And your oats! B-nut squash yummm. You are so right about the greatness of oats in a jar
I had some yesterday actually. And I made my dad his first oats in a jar too and he lvoed it! Right now I have… 6 jars of nut butters and yesterday it was 8 lol.
What do you think of the Gingerberry kombucha? It’s my brother in law’s fave flavor, but I’ve never tried it for myself!
wow, I didn’t even realize .. but I have 7 open if you count the Pumpkin Butter and Cocoa Coconut Bliss :p
I currently have two nut butter jars open
That’s my standard…still haven’t tried oats in a jar, though! I need to get on that..and, apparently, add b-nut squash as well! That sounds pretty tasty.
Love your pricey afternoon snack — but like Caroline, I’ve never tried that flavor. What did you think of it?
Hope you enjoyed the Hanukkah celebrations! Have a great Thursday!
