Saying Goodbye Is Never Easy
San Francisco is definitely a place that I wouldn’t mind waking up to every morning! Just check out this view.

Early Sunday morning I went out to do a little exploring and to move my legs a bit. I knew I would be cooped up at airports and on planes for the majority of the day so I wanted to get a little exercising in while I had the chance. After a quick walk around the city I came back to the hotel and started packing up all my things.
The challenge was fitting all the Foodbuzz swag into my already full suitcase….

Keep in mind that what’s pictured above is only about 3/4 of it. I some how finagled almost everything to fit. Sadly, I had to leave one wine glass and a jar of Olives behind.

Hopefully the hotel cleaning crew had a little olive and wine party after I left.
Sabrina and I caught a cab, made the quickest Whole Food’s stop in human history (we both needed something for dinner since we were flying all evening), and wound up at LuLu Restaurant for brunch before the doors were open.

On The Menu
Panzanella with Nature’s Pride 12 Grain and Country White breads, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, baby lettuce and Ivernia cheese

On my plate I had a bit of the panzanella, a pear and bleu cheese salad, the frittata with aged cheddar, whiskey, and wild mushrooms, and nutty oat french toast with a currant and pear compote.

The pear and bleu cheese salad was by far my favorite thing at brunch. I almost went back for seconds but Sabrina and I had to rush to the San Fran airport for the journey home. :/ After a quick bite to eat, we said our goodbyes to everyone and jumped back in our cab. It was fun getting to know Sabrina more- she is such a a sweetheart and we had plenty to chat about on the 20 minute ride.
Overall, the weekend was amazing and I had such a good experience meeting all the other food bloggers. To be honest, I was a little nervous heading over alone without a buddy to hang out with but everyone was so friendly that my concerns quickly disappeared. It just stinks that most of us live so far from one another. It would be a blast if all the healthy living bloggers lived in one community- imagine the group runs, yoga sessions, and dinner parties!
Isaac’s mom was kind enough to pick me up from the airport at 11:45PM. I went home and tried to unpack a bit, realized it was already 1AM and jumped into bed. Monday was a LONG day as I was completely wiped out from the trip, the time changes, and the flying!
Foodbuzz, thanks again for an amazing first annual festival and thanks again to Nature’s Pride as well- there’s no way I would have been able to attend without their sponsorship!
In other news, I’m already making good use of my swag. I ate the majority of my Frog Hollow samples on my flight and I used the brie to make a pumpkin butter, brie, and sliced apple english muffin sandwiches for Isaac and I on Monday night. It was heavenly!

That’s a wrap folks- my Foodbuzz recaps are over and I will be back to regular posting asap.
I also wanted to say welcome to any new readers, please hang around as I have some fun stuff in store!

Its such a shame all the fun had to come to an end.
Its funny when I spoke to my grandma right before my trip she asked if I was traveling alone or if a friend was tagging along and I told her that I had plenty of friends that will be in San Francisco as well. It didn’t even occur to me that I was technically traveling alone because I knew i would be surrounded by so many wonderful people the whole trip!
Again it was so great meeting you and getting to know you! We may not live near each other, but we do live identical lives ‘Job Twin’ !

I’m so sad I missed the brunch – the food looked so good, and I didn’t get to say goodbye to everyone!

MMM…brie and pumpkin butter – sounds great.
I don’t know why – but I really liked the Whole Foods out there more than mine in NYC. Is it in my head?
