It’s Official

by Eating Bird Food on October 22, 2009

I found out this week that I will be one of the six Bread Ambassadors for Nature’s Pride Bread at the First Annual Foodbuzz Blogger Festival in San Francisco, CA! Needless to say I am overly excited. I read the email at work and literally jumped out of my chair and ran to my co-workers office. I was shocked, over joyed, and seriously didn’t know what to do with myself. I can’t wait to prepare my recipe for 250 people, meet all the other bloggers, experience some amazing food, and go to San Francisco- one of the coolest cities in the U.S. (right after Richmond, Va of course).

From the get-go I wasn’t expecting to win. I’d actually planned on going to the Montpelier horse races the first weekend in November, just as I have for the past 5 years. But, I knew that if I had any chance at attending the festival at all I needed to submit a recipe, so that’s what I did. In the end, I owe it all to Foodbuzz, Nature’s Pride, and this lovely sandwich.

This just goes to show that sometimes dreams do come true and it’s never a bad idea to take a chance and try- even if you aren’t certain you will succeed.

So, I’m off to the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival as a Bread Ambassador with the 5 other amazing bloggers: Sabrina from RhodeyGirl Tests, Brandi from Bran Appétit, Kim from Ravenous Couple, Shannon from Tri to Cook, Stephanie from StephChows. Congrats to everyone- I can’t wait to meet you all!

- Brittany

PS. I will be back with my eats, a giveaway and other fun stuff soon.

I’m so happy for you! And bummed for me, because I was registered to go and had to cancel because of the house stuff and that’s the only weekend we would have to move. WE WILL MEET one of these days – third time’s the charm, no?
