[...] I spent a good portion of my last post complaining about how much my stomach was hurting from the pumpkin pie soup, I still couldn’t resist eating some of the leftovers. I know, I’m such a rebel right? [...]

A juicer extracts the fiber from the fruit and vegetables. Firm believers in juicing suggest that juicing makes the nutrients (including enzymes) from the juice easier to digest, as some of the nutrients in fruits and vegetables are locked into the fiber, which isn't digestible. The juice from a juicer is also much smoother and more palatable than what would result from a blender.

You can certainly take a whole fruit and blend it up using a blender, which would keep all the fiber intact, but you may also end up with large pieces of unprocessed fruit and veggies or a chunky juice from the pulp and seeds. I would only recommend using a high-powered blender like a Vita-Mix for blending whole fruits and vegetables though- others might not be powerful enough to breakdown whole pieces and it might cause damage to your blender. I like using my blender for smoothies with frozen fruits such as bananas and berries.

Also remember that fiber is a good thing for digestion and you should still eat whole fruit and vegetables as well! I'm no expert, but I hope this helps!
