Serious About Cereal

So, around 9PM last night I made myself eat a little something for dinner. I have a TON of fresh veggies but I couldn’t stomach eating those so I went with what I was craving. Cereal, of course. 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean, and 3/4 cup of Barbara’s PB Puffins, 2 berries, and SILK PLUS Omega-3’s soy milk. I guess since I ate my veggies for breakfast yesterday this was fine (just a little backwards, but who cares, I do what I want).

I went to stay with Isaac at the house he is house sitting and basically crashed as soon as I arrived. I LOVE their bed. We have a Tempur-Pedic mattress and they have a California king (it’s almost too LARGE, Isaac seemed like he was miles away in this bed), pillow top Beauty Rest. Don’t get me wrong I love our bed, but the Beauty Rest is like sleeping on clouds compared to ours.

So after 8 hours of sleeping beauty I woke up bright eyed. For breakfast I decided to share a 1/2 of grapefruit with Isaac because I’ve had it for a while and it needed to be eaten.

For the main course I decided to go with the cereal flow. With a different variety from the Kashi family- primarily in hopes that if I have it for breakfast I won’t want it again for dinner. Plus there wasn’t any oatmeal at the house Isaac is house sitting so Kashi Cinnamon Harvest was the next best thing.

1 1/2 cups of kashi cinnamon harvest, 2 berries and skim milk. I was secretly excited when I saw that Isaac accidently picked up skim milk at the store. He likes 2% so he wasn’t too thrilled when I brought it up. At first I thought was being sweet and got that so he and I could share- but he cleared it up and said that it was an accident. He should have just gone along with my idea- would have scored him some brownie points.

Salad tonight for dinner. I have soo many greens to use and I have no intention of letting them go bad.

Happy hump-day friends!

YUM for cereal meals!! So very good! And I’m always jealous of people who have nice beds (that is, um, EVERYONE). I can appreciate a good mattress! ;) Somebody needs to hire me as a mattress-tester, for real.

My bf doesn’t really dig skim milk either… I had to really press him to even change to 2% from whole. :(

Love cereal for dinner! I almost never do it anymore, but it’s an easy and pretty healthy way to end the day.

hooray for a tasty bowl of cereal yumminess for dinner & breakfast! i haven’t had grapefruit in forever! mmmmmmm! we’ve been eating salads like crazy, too! i’ve gotta get all the fresh greens in while they’re so inexpensive and readily available! happy hump day to you too, Brittany! (and when i make a juice with a beet sometimes i’ll juice up a tiny slice of lemon so it will cut some of the beet taste out just a tad!)

p.s. – i love your new layout, Brittany! it’s so fun & colorful!
