On the Run

by eatingbirdfood on May 9, 2009

Morning everyone! Isaac and I are heading to the beach this morning, dropping Olive at his grandmother’s, and then going to the wedding. Before leaving Richmond we’re going to drop by the mall. I want some new eye makeup from Sephora and I also want to look for some new earrings. :)

Upon waking while waiting for Isaac to get up I made myself a bowl of oats.

  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup oat bran
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 scoop of french vanilla whey protein powder
  • sprinkle of cinnamon

Of course, I topped it with the usual spoonful of Better n PB, but I also picked out some carob chips from the trail mix last night and put them on top of my oats. I don’t know why I’ve never done this before?? They got all melty and added a lovely sweetness to my morning.  While eating I read some blogs and iced my knee with a slab of frozen meat (appetizing huh?)

Before I go I have to say congratulations to one of my favorite blogging friends- Jenn, I’m so happy for you! And also wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY – enjoy your day my love!!!

hahahaha I love the meat icing on your knee. I usually go for a frozen pea approach or sometimes mix it up with some frozen corn.

Sephora is a fun place. I love trying on all the makeup. Yummy carob chips.

Hey Brittany! Thank you so much for the birthday shout out and congratulations :) You are one of my favorite blogging friends and it was really sweet of you! I just read the post about your knee – ouch! I am so sorry to hear that. I don’t have much experience there but I hope that it feels better and that you received some great advice from other bloggers and commenters!
