Tasty Tuesday

I had a banana split for breakfast. See:

  • 1/2 banana slices
  • 2 strawberries sliced
  • 3/4 cup kashi go lean
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein powder

After dessert for breakfast I decided to do salad for lunch. In my last post about sushi I talked about ordering seaweed salad but always wanting more. Well, I took Cecilia’s advice about finding seaweed salad at a local Asian market. What a great idea!! I got this container for $2- it’s much more than I would have gotten at a sushi place. I also looked up some recipes and found a few so perhaps I’ll make my own seaweed salad.

I had this little container for lunch, along with a regular salad.

For dinner tonight I took one of my black/garbanzo bean burgers out of the freezer, cooked it up, and ate it on an ezekiel english muffin with sprinkles of feta cheese, tomato, and lots of ketchup. I also made some kale chips- although they were made from bagged kale that was chopped,  l so it ended up being kale crumbs.  :)

The burger was delilcous!! I am loving homemade bean burgers!

Ahhh japanese seaweed salad is my FAVORITE!!!! I also like octopus salad. :P But that isn’t bird food I suppose. Your breakfast looks awesome! I may just have to stray from my usual oatmeal to try your combo!!!

your burgers look great! LOVE seaweed salad! I always end up ordering edamame though (when the option is there) both are so good!

Loved your breakfast “dessert”. I’ve been trying to mix things up with savory breakfasts lately, but there’s nothing like a little something to sweet to get the day started. :)

I wish I liked seaweed as it’s so good you for you. It is the one food that I just don’t like. I keep trying it hoping my taste buds will change.

I always used the bagged kale cause I’m totally lazy when it comes to chopping veggies. Love my kale crumbs. ;)

Yes! Homemade bean burgers are the best! I haven’t tried seaweed salad but it looks very refreshing! I wonder if it would be good on a sandwich or inside a wrap? Does that seem weird?
