To the Finals we will go…

It was so warm out today. I went for a run outside and it was quite toasty. I was wishing I had worn shorts instead of capri leggings. The whole time I was running/sweating profusely I kept thinking of heading directly to Smoothie King after the run to get a cool smoothie. Then I realized I should just make my own. That I did:

ABB: Almond, Banana, and Blueberry Smoothie

  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¾ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp. Better n’ PB
  • 1 Tbsp. roasted almonds
  • 3 cubes of ice
  • 1/2 almond milk

I put all the ingredients in the vita-mix and blended on high for about 1 minute. The smoothie looked a little thick so I added another splash of almond milk and blended it again for a few seconds. I LOVED this smoothie! I would have to say that’s it’s one of the best smoothies I’ve ever made.

Time slipped away from me and I never made it to the grocery store, but we did go to the Mason v. Towson game. AND WE WON!?! This means we play in the finals tomorrow against VCU at 7:00.

After the game I was starving! We decided to go to Capital Ale House for dinner. I ordered the black bean burger and subbed the fries for a house salad (minus the croutons- I gave those to Isaac for a snack). It was the smallest salad ever=lame.

They apparently forgot about the subbing and brought me the fries anyway. I ate a few but passed the majority over to Isaac and his Popa.

I love that their black bean burger isn’t just a frozen patty heated up… it’s awesome!

We played a little wii bowling tonight and I have to tell you guys I’m totally pumped because I am officially at pro level now.

I’m sleepy! I want to workout in the morning since we will be heading straight to the game after work tomorrow so I should really hit the hay right now. BUT….I have to wait for my laundry to dry.. dang it. So as soon as the clothes are dry I’m heading to bed.

Have a great week my friends!

Mmm what a luscious smoothie! Where did you get your Vita Mix? Or were you one of those lucky bloggers to get one free?

    Congrats on “your win!”
I always hesitate to order veggie burgers at restaurants because they always turn out lame & de-frosted!!! yuck, but glad this wasn’t the case with this one!

That black bean burger looks great! I hate when restaurants just give you a Boca burger or something equally as lame – it’s like, you’re a cook! Start cooking!!

That smoothie’s color is gorgeous! Congrats on the game!!

That is exactly what I get at the Capital Ale House! I love it and have tried to duplicate that burger at home to no avail. We have to add that to places to go!!
