Lots of B-days in FEB

by eatingbirdfood on February 8, 2009

For some odd reason I feel there are a ton of b-days in February, including both Isaac’s and mine.  This weekend  was totally dedicated to Isaac and his b-day!

I’m tried and should really already be in bed, so I’m going to try to make this recap really quick with little to no description of my meals, however, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Here is my lunch from Saturday:

Spinach salad and roasted potatoes that Isaac made.

Isaac’s friends and I set up a surprise b-day party for him. We got a private room at his favorite bar. He was totally surprised and it turned out great and we didn’t even have to coax him into going there… since it’s his fav place he’s the one that recommended it.. PERFECTION. We had such a good time:

I promise Isaac doens’t always run around wearing mardi gras necklaces. (Someone got it for him and it had a kings hat on it- pretty silly)

We stayed out pretty late so I woke up LATE this morning and was starving! Breakfast was banana oatmeal with pumpkin stirred in with cinnamon raisin PB- I’ve had this same breakfast for 3 days in a row and it still tasted magnificent.

I didn’t drink much at the party because I was totally looking forward to 65 degree weather today and taking a nice long run outside (hangovers arent’t so great for waking up and running). My cousin and I did just that after breakfast. It was so nice. I haven’t been running outside in who knows how long because it’s been too stinkin cold. This week is suppose to be nice and I can’t wait… lots of running to be had.

After our hour long run I came home hungry to eat lunch. I had another spinach salad and more roasted potoatoes.

Check out the purple califlower!

Since today was Isaac’s actual b-day a friend invited us over for a bbq dinner. I brought along a veggie burger and had that on 1/2 a bun. They didn’t have any other veggie options -only chips. I never eat chips, espeically not regular, plain UTZ chips, but I was hungry and caved it. Dang it! I wish I would have brought a side with me :/ oh well….

Isaac had a fab b-day and loved his gift- I got him sunglasses, so this weekend was a success! Hope everyone else had a great one! I’m excited for this week coming up. My b-day countdown is on!! YIPPE!

Speaking of birthdays: Happy b-day to Meghann!

Happy belated to Isaac! I love the picture of you two :) And heck yes to those pumpkin oats! It’s so funny that we made the same thing down to the actual type of PB on the spoon!
