Mondays are recycling day for me, every other Monday, to be exact. It makes me happy when it’s recycling day because then we can remove the massive pile of recyclables, that’s been collected over 2 whole weeks, off our front porch. It can get to be a little crazy out there on the porch, but it’s in a discrete spot and it’s better than bringing the plastic box through the house. It wouldn’t be so bad if it never rained on the recycling, but of course we need rain to sustain our plant life, so it rains and then our recycling gets wet and then we bring the box through the house and it drips.. Point being- our recycling stays on the front porch. I digress…. The point to this story, if you are still reading, is that I walk to work and see everyone’s recylcing on the sidewalk. It’s fun to think of what the people are like by looking at it. I can tell which houses have kids, who had 10 frozen pizzas in the last two weeks, and who drinks alcohol and how much… and for some, let me tell you, it’s ALOT! Although, who knows maybe they had a party
Just a thought for the day – I wonder what people think of my recycling as they walk by?
On to the eats- I woke up freezing so this called for a warm breakfast sensation of oatmeal with a few raisins sprinkled on top and a banana on the side.

I used some of the brown rice I made yesterday for a quick lunch of brown rice and veggies. Simple but very tasty. With a small apple on the side.

After lunch around 4 I had a cheese stick and 2 small handfuls of peanuts and when I got home Isaac had cooked up some salmon for din. Sorry guys I was hungry and forgot to take a photo.
Oh and on the workout scene- I saw some other bloggers had done Tina’s Treadmill workout so I thought I would do the running one. Well lets just say things got a little crazy and I did both the running and the walking. The time went by really fast and it was definitely a good workout – I was muy sweaty. I can’t wait to try more of the workouts that she has posted! Yipee.. I needed a little variety in my routine.

Glad you tried the treadmill workout! It’s one of my favs!
I totally hear you on the recycling! I’m sure our garbage man thinks we’re a bunch of drunks. This week’s recycling has no less than 5 champagne bottles leftover from new years. We just like to entertain!
I might have to recreate your dinner tonight
HAHA!! Love the deep thoughts on recycling – never thought of how much it can tell you about a person
Great workout!!
Lunch looks awesome. I totally agree on the recycling – luckily now there’s a big recycle bin thing in our parking lot so we can dump it there as needed
the veggies and rice look wonderful!
we don’t have recycling in my neighborhood…seriously…so i have to drag all of our recycled stuff to the base!
have a great night <3
That’s really funny about the recycling bins – I never thought of it that way before
Tina’s workout rocks! And to answer your question about the ice cream I bought, it’s Ciao Bella Coconut Sorbet. I had it once at a Whole Foods in Arizona and OMG. If you like coconut, it’s the best one I’ve ever had. I’m sure their other flavors are good, too – I tried pomegranate once and it was tasty!
Haha – great intro! I always look at what people are throwing out/recycling, I guess I’m nosy
LOL – see?!?! that treadmill workout is killer!
That’s exactly what I did the first day – I ran (realized I was getting my butt kicked) and changed it up into a combo! Glad you liked it!
Yeah for a great workout!
Wow, great job with recycling! And I should definitely try that workout! Thanks!
I know, garbage is fascinating!
So you did the whole running then the whole walking? You’re a treadmill maniac!
**Just as a heads up: I will not be able to comment on blogs as often now, during this semester, due to work overload (I’m stressed already) – PLEASE know that I’m still loyally reading, but just won’t have time to comment. I hope you understand!!
can’t believe you did both the running and the walking workouts! rockstar!
