After the basketball game on Saturday I was a tiny bit sad- we were competing for the number one spot in the CAA but lost! It didn’t last long because I was instantly cheered when Isaac suggested that we grab some fro yo at a new place across from the stadium – Very Berry! It’s a self-serve yogurt shop with a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. I ended up gettinga mixture of the espresso, chocolate, and peanut butter flavors with kiwi, strawberries, blueberries and a cherry for toppings.

Frozen yogurt sounded really good at the time but it was cold outside and we had quite a ways to walk until we got home. I ate about 1/2 of my yogurt on the walk and decided to stop because it was making me extra cold. It was around dinner time when we got the yogurt so even after having dessert I was still hungry for something more dinnerish. I ended up making a quick salad to eat while I waited for some b-nut quash fries to bake up.

I also had 2 glasses of pinot grigio at home and an Amstel light at a bar. We came home and called it a night. Sunday I woke up feeling fine, ate some banana oatmeal with one of new purchases from Whole Foods- Peanut Butter Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. They were giving out samples of this PB on Wasa crackers, along with a coupon. I had seen the Cinnamon Raisin Swirl before and wanted to buy it, but always said I would wait for it to go on sale because it’s pricey. Well after having one three samples of it, I had to buy it- plus they were giving away $1.00 off coupons. I couldn’t resist.

I went to the gym for an 11:00 class, but it packed – I guess people are still sticking to their New Year Resolutions- so I deicded just to do some cardio and a few stregth trainings exercises- my abs were killing me from an awesome abs class the day before! I came home famished. I whipped up some hummus in the Vita- Mix (love this machine) to make a hummus wrap with lettuce, brocolli, and red peppers. I had a blood orange (oranges are tasting so good this time of year) and grapes on the side.

Isaac and I went to go see Slumdog Millionaire. I definietly recommend going to see it- Isaac and I both really enjoyed it!

Back to work this morning and I actually made myself get up and go the gym before work on a MONDAY.. yippee). We’re heading to the vet tonight right after work for Olive’s shots. Poor baby!

I can’t believe you didn’t finish it! I swear I would have, but then I’d have complained about how cold I was. :)

Lindsey- That’s awesome – it’s cool to know I have some local readers. The frozen yogurt place is called Very Berry I think and it is on Broad across from the Seigel Center – near tropical smoothie and qdoba. Have fun when you go there. It’s really good.

That fro yo looks so good! I really wish that we could eat ice cream all year round. Too bad it’s so freakin’ cold!

Lucky you with the coupon for PB&Co.! And they were handing out samples? That’s even cooler! I’m glad you like it.

Oranges are definitely amazing this time of year. I had my first blood orange experience last week and am hooked. But I also just bought a big bag of clementines so I’ve gotta eat those up, too!

Hope Olive is doing ok after the trip to the vet!
