For some odd reason I’ve had a hankering (haha I don’t use that word in my normal vocab.) for breakfast foods for dinner… the past two nights actually… last night was an omelet, made with 1 egg and 1 egg white, some green peppers and tomatoes, along with a slice of honey ww bread covered in pecan pumpkin butter.

If you could believe it.. as a snack I had a small bowl of cereal… attack of breakfast food!!
Of course when I woke up today I had breakfast again… which consisted of oats, Barney Butter 90 calorie packet, and then I decided to kick it old school and add some brown sugar on top for something a little sweet. The reason I say this is kicking it old school is because when I used to eat instant quaker oats packets a lot – maple brown sugar was my favorite!!

For lunch today I didn’t have any breakfast items…

But I did have this bar for a snack later, which you could indeed consider a breakfast bar

*Interesting tid-bit – Isaac has a family friend who looks a lot like Dr. Weil and he has been asked for his autograph before- he is a genuine guy so he doesn’t try to fool people, but I thought it was comical… hopefully I can snag a photo to show you all!
This was my first time having the Nature’s Path Weil bar, and I have to say it was pretty tasty. Similar to a lar bar in consistency, but with bigger chucks of banana and nuts. And, the flavor wasn’t to bananay. The ingredient list is short and sweet: INGREDIENTS: Organic dates, organic dried bananas, organic almonds. the nutrition facts can be found at the link provided above. At 180 calories and 6g of fat, I’d say it’s pretty comparable to that of a Larabar. It does have 22g of sugar- but at least the sugar is from the fruit ingredients!
Last but not least, one of my breakfast items of the day is this awesome cereal: Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch. We got the box two days ago and it’s gone tonight- I had the last bowl for dinner with 3 egg whites on the side!! Isaac did help me finish it off so quickly though! But I’m not going to lie I probably could have eaten the whole box in two days! It’s really tasty and the freeze dried strawberries really sweeten it. It’s very hearty and filling (with 7g of fiber and the flax brings the omega-3 straight to the cereal bowl… love that). I would definitely recommend it if you like berries in your cereal!

INGREDIENTS: Organic whole wheat meal, organic wheat bran, organic rolled oats, organic evaporated cane juice, organic flax, organic soy oil, organic brown rice flour, organic freeze dried raspberries, organic oat bran, organic barley malt extract, organic freeze dried strawberries, sea salt, natural strawberry flavor, organic oat syrup solids, tocopherols (natural vitamin E), organic molasses, organic rice bran extract, organic cinnamon.
Enough of my breakfast shenanigans! Off to shower and hop into bed!

Breakfast-for-dinner meals = always winners.
So funny about Isaac’s friend who looks like Dr. Weil!!
**Just as a heads up: I will not be able to comment on blogs as often now, during this semester, due to work overload (I’m stressed already) – PLEASE know that I’m still loyally reading, but just won’t have time to comment. I hope you understand!!
Oh I love your eats, delicious!
And I must say, I loved those instants Quaker maple and brown sugar too! So I know what you mean about kicking it old school!
As well, I love nature’s path products! Yum!!
Nothing wrong with breakfast for dinner! Usually when I’m craving b-fast for dinner, it’s in the form of french toast. Mmmm…french toast. I haven’t made me any of that in a while!
Breakfast is for champions, anyway!
That’s funny about Dr. Weil… reminds me of Shawn Connery in a way…
I just had raisins & spice old-school oats with a trivia question, which I answered correctly, therefore allowing me to eat it!
Veggie Girl- No biggie- I will miss your comments, but I totally understand!!!
I’ve been doing the breakfast thing for dinner too – it’s too good
haha PLEASE post a pic of the Dr. Weil impersonator
I ate the maple brown sug for breakfast like every morning in elementary school! Aww memories.
Sometimes a girl just needs some breakfast food!
There seems to be a Barney trend on the blogs today
I personally think it’s a fantastic trend!
That bar is really good! Too funny that his friend looks like Dr. Weil!
I am with you on loving breakfast food. I could eat it all day long!
i think i could really eat breakfast for every meal of the day! no shame
I really like that bar, too!
You should have a whole day of breakfast!
This is such a wonderful post because breakfast is hands down the best meal of the day. First, maple brown sugar instant oatmeal is my favorite, too. Second, I liked that Weil bar, too, and loved the thing about Isaac’s family friend. Third, I used to be obsessed with Special K with Red Berries, and the Flax Plus looks so much better for you! I’ll have to pick up a box.
Oh and fourth, you’re cool
