Typical

Friday, also know as yesterday, we got our gas bill – which just so happened to be $350.00 for the month of November. OUTRAGEOUS! We weren’t even doing anything extreme- we have our thermostat set at 72 for when were home and 65 during work hours, plus the temps in richmond haven’t really gotten below 30. But needless to say, we must not pay that much next month so  Isaac decided to turn it down to 65 at all times. I am FREEZING! I think I need to buy a space heater and a parka! Anyway I had some oatmeal to warm me up. Banana oats with 1/2 scoop of protein powder, flax, and walnuts on top.

I went to the office for work.. which was nice and toasty. Lunch at work consisted of Trader Joe’s roasted red pepper – tomato soup (this is my fav soup from TJ’s – just don’t buy the low sodium one. It sucks, I bought it once tasted one or two bites and threw the rest away. Even adding extra salt didn’t help) and a spinach salad with shrimp sans dressing.

I came home frmo work and went straight to the gym, got home from the gym and went straight to the kitchen. I whipped up some stirfry tofu with asparagus stir-fry frozen veggies from Target. I really liked this.. so quick and so tasty.

We don’t have any big plans this weekend, besides freezing our behinds off as we get used to our cold apt. And, perhaps going to a Christmas party tonight and I need to catch up on my Chistmas shopping. I am so bad about going shopping and buying stuff for myself rather than Christmas presents…. I need to stay focused. :)

And, don’t forget to check out what Maggie’s giving away- it’s going on until next wednesday! – A chance to win PECAN PUMPKIN BUTTER!

Wow, sorry to hear about the outrageous bill. Stay warm! Last year when I was renting a place, since rent was so high, I had to reduce the bills, so I ended up wearing lots of layers all the time in the winter, just to keep warm.

Hope you stay warm! Careful with the space heaters in case electricity prices are high where you are!

Mm! Seriously great eats – and thanks for the heads up on the low sodium soup. It’s crazy how much flavor is lost without the salt in there!

Target has suuch good frozen veggies! Who knew!? And i agree with the tea idea, i don’t even LIKE tea at all but it does help warm me up….and space heaters are the besssst thing ever, my old college friend had one and i just huddled by it for hours :D
