Yuck

I was not feeling great yesterday for some odd reason. My ears were hurting, my nose was stuffed up, and I felt all around kind of lousy. I wasn’t even that hungry in the morning- probably because I ate chips until 1 in the morning the night before. But before leaving for work I scarfed down a plain banana and a packet of this oatmeal.

I was impressed with this flavor- it was good and I didn’t add anything except 1 tablespoon of ground flax. And I must say it held me over v. well – as well as regular stove top oats, but with less calories. Technically stove top oats (plain) do have less calories, 150 for 1/2 cup, but considering I usually add other things to sweeten and add protein to them it seems that the instant packet it a better deal calorie wise-only 160. Although I have yet to see if the whole melty, banana, sweetness works the same with microwave oats. Maybe I will experiment tomorrow.

Lunch consisted of whipped cottage cheese and a fruit cup. An apple and almond Preventia bar (review to come soon) and a salad.

Someone in my office brought in all their left over Halloween candy and it’s hard to resist so I had 2 tootsie rolls (the bigger ones).

I was starving for dinner a lot earlier than normal but I figured rather than snack on a bunch of stuff I should just fix dinner so I had an Amy’s Texas burger with red onion, tomato, ketchup and lettuce. And Alexia sweet potato fries – YUM100_2148100_2150

After dinner I wasn’t quite full so I had three handfuls of Honey Comb cereal (Isaac’s buy) and then I figured I would end the dry cereal eating and just have a small bowl which consisted of one more handful of cereal and some milk. I went to the gym, came home and watched the Full Monty with Isaac. I feel asleep of course, but not before I ate some honey pomegranate icecream.

When I got home from the gym Isaac said he had a surprise for me in the freezer. ICECREAM – it was tasty, but I won’t buy it again. It has similar calories, sugar and saturated fat as Regular Ben and Jerry’s Icecream- I compared it with the Cake Batter flavor Isaac had in the fridge.
