Whew… What a Night

Yesterday I had banana oats with 2 tablespoons of whipped cottage cheese and 1 tablespoon of ground flax mixed in (after the stove was turned off) The banana overly ripe, which lead to v. sweet oats – just how I like them!

Mid morning I had a 1/4 cup of whipped cottage cheese with a small fruit cup of peaches that I found in the work fridge.

I was pretty full from both breakfast and my snack, so I ended up just eating a salad and some carrots and squash on the side. I had also packed a left over snobby joe, but I was too full to eat it.

But I wasn’t too full for something sweet so throughout the afternoon I had a few handfuls of Barbara’s Oat cereal. I also had some dry raisin bran and chex cereal when I came home, along with some raisins.

I was having a snack attack and it lasted all night!!

I came home from work, went to the gym for Body Pump, ate dinner (left over snobby joe and a left over small bag of chips from Panera and another piece of the delicious carrot cake from last night….. HEAVEN IN  CAKE FORM… seriously) and headed to an election party. My friend made some spiked apple cider and had some  blue tortilla chips and spinach dip. I had already eaten dinner and I wasn’t drinking so I don’t know why, but I ate sooo many chips with dip. I felt guilty all night and morning because of it… dang it, I hate it when that happens. Oh well, what an election day... right? I am very pleased with the results of the election. Now more than ever I feel proud to be an American!!

I agree; life is WAY, WAY to short to spend hours brooding on a few extra handfuls of chips. You are a lovely, healthy girl and have absolutely no reason to feel guilty about something so petty!!

Yes, I love whipped cottage cheese in oatmeal!! Well, I also just love whipped cottage cheese. Period.

That carrot cake from your last post definitely looks like heaven in cake form :) I just recently tried carrot cake for the first time and am now wondering where it has been all of my life.

Don’t worry – whenever I’m near a chip basket and dip, I always eat more than I realize. It’s particularly an issue when the dip is queso – I could eat that stuff by the gallon (although that wouldn’t be in my best interest)!

Chippies and dip always get me. Once you start you really truly can’t stop. Addicting little buggers.
