BRRRR

IS anyone else freezing their little tushes off this morning? It’s 35 degrees here in Richmond and I am cold!!! We haven’t turned on our heat yet so needless to say getting out of bed this morning at 6AM for a dentist visit was a challenge. Yesterday was a nice and relaxing day. I pretty much hung out at the house for majority of the morning then headed out to the mall – to look for a wedding dress. Don’t get any ideas – just a dress to wear to a wedding. I wasn’t very successful. Does anyone else have the feeling that when you have no money and you are just window shopping everything looks perfect on you and you want/need to buy lots, but when you are are on a mission with money you can never find something you want. That was my predicament with shopping yesterday! UGHHH

Oh well. I did end up making it to the gym for some much needed cardio.

For breaking the fast I had oatmeal! I was excited because I hadn’t had stove-top oats in a week! For lunch I made a delicious salad with the star ingredient being HEARTS OF PALM. I love those things but tend to forget about them because they aren’t in the produce section.

Sunday is football day at my casa so Isaac’s Dad came over for the game. Let’s just say he was welcomed with open arms considering he brought dinner from Whole Food’s with him : crab cakes and stuffed salmon. I made up some TJ’s Brittany’s Blend Veggies to go along with the seafood.

I ate the whole crab cake, all the veggies, and half of the salmon.

Gotta get back to work, I’ll post about today later. Have a lovely Monday!

Hearts of palm! YUM! I always forget about those as well! I don’t think I’ve had any in months! I need to pick up a can! Thanks for the reminder! :)

I’m freezing too! It’s chilly in Mountain View today, and inside the office it’s even worse. I’m wearing 2 sweaters and sipping tea.

I’ve never had hearts of palm, I’ll have to add them to the grocery list.

Hope the dentist went well, I have to go on Thursday =/

I was freezing this morning, too! It isn’t supposed to be over 70* all week!

Hope the dentist went well.

Ooh I’ve had hearts of palm once before and loved it (them? I’m not sure if it’s plural or not, haha) That salad looks awesome.

Wow, crab cakes and stuffed salmon sounds like my kind of meal! Especially when paired with a veggie dish that has your namesake :)
