Spooky!

by eatingbirdfood on September 20, 2008

I feel like a really big dork for posting this, especially since it’s only the wrapper that I got a picture of. I’ll proceed anyway- last night Isaac and I went to Kroger to grab alcohol. I wanted to check for the PB Cookie Larabar, because it’s hard to find around here- and I’ve only had it once. Anyhow, point of the story is that hiding on the top shelf of an end-cap was something I had been longing to try…. The Spooky Smores Z-Bar! This is where the dorky part comes into play. Me, a fully grown adult getting really excited over finding a child’s bar, and then after eating it, putting the wrapper in the trash but then realizing I totally needed a photo of it to post and grabbing it quickly back out. So here you are, the almost trashed, then saved, then photographed this morning, wrapper.

Point being that I finally had the Smores Z-bar. And after all that, I liked the bar, but Chocolate Brownie is still my favorite.

Oh and here is my b-fast this morning. Veggie sausage and an egg white on 1/2 an Ezekiel English muffin and SF apricot preserves on the other 1/2. I was starving for some reason this morning so after this I had some cottage cheese with fiber one and raisins mixed in.

No plans for today so we shall see what I get myself into! Have a great weekend my ladies and gents.. if there are any reading.

I love s’mores anything… I really hope this tastes like s’mores, because I can’t find anything that does. The only thing I’ve ever had that was s’mores flavor that actually reminded me of the actual food was the Pop Tarts and obviously, those are a no-no now =P

Jordon – It’s sad to say but I don’t really think the bar tastes like a real smore’s. It’s missing something.. maybe the gooey, warm, marshmallow flavor. I could just eat the roasted marshmallows and be content…. they are my favorite part of a smore’s.

Andrea- I know, seasonal things are so exciting.

Megan – thanks, at least I know I am not the only one.

Chocolate brownie is my fave too. Yummo :)

I’m so glad it’s fall – I love halloween and all the seasonal food.

I’ve been wanting to try those Z-bars, can’t find them anywhere around here though. I guess if you pulled the wrapper out of the trash to post about it, then that’s a good sign? haha hopefully I get to try them soon. Have a good weekend! :)

I, too, often wonder about the gents.
I love you dedication to this craft. I like to think I’d reach into the trash for the sake of the blog, too. :)
Cute post!

Ah! I am so jealous of your s’mores Clif bar–I have been checking my Whole Foods every week to no avail.

Darnit, I still can’t find that flavor! But if you say Chocolate Brownie still reigns supreme, I trust your judgment :) Oh and don’t worry, I’ve totally pulled stuff out of the trash to take a picture of it. Dedication, I’d like to call it.

Mm, love egg muffin sammies! I haven’t made one in so long!

I am starting to be able to find the PB Cookie larabar at Ukrop’s stores. I have seen it twice now in the past couple of days. I also found the smores bar yesterday and gave it a try. I think I like larabars better.

I totally support fishing wrappers out of the garbage solely for the sake of photography. It was worth it, it is a LOVELY wrapper photograph. ;)
