Snack Attack

by eatingbirdfood on September 9, 2008

I did a bad job of getting photos of everything I ate today. And, not such a good job of choosing wisely when eating snacks, which I just so happen to be missing the photos of – coincidence?

So for my healthier options of the day I did have this toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwich with 1/2 a banana sliced and nestled in between for lunch. I love pb & j, and I haven’t had one in such long time. I had some baked tostitos with this sandwich. And then later had a mini cool mint cliff bar.

I only had one, even though there are two in this picture.

And this plain yogurt with de-thawed blackberries frozen during blackberry season, and granola wound up being my dinner. Around 5:30 I had a bavarian pretzel shared with Isaac – it was HUGE, buttery, and salty with a honey mustard dipping sauce – but I forgot my camera. 100_1695.JPG

After the yogurt I had 2 and a half of these HobNob’s and I may or may not have smeared peanut butter on top of the two whole ones. They’re not very good for you, but they remind me of England – having tea and digestive cookies. 100_1696.JPG

**Notice the “Good source of fibre” – If you call 1 gram for 2 cookies good, then I guess that is true…

Then just a few minutes ago I had some granola. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.. I’m the snacking machine. Maybe too many carbs today, had me craving more carbs.

I’ve had those McVitie’s biscuits too, I love them!
I think carbs are good for you, so way to stock up on them. Low carb diets are for chumps! :)

Yum…bavarian pretzels! I love them! Your sandwich looks delicious! I like the mint clif bars, but I have to be in the mood for them.

Have a good day!

Love that bowl of yogurt + berries.

I know what you mean about carb-o-mania. The same thing happens to me. Carbs are good for you, like Erin said, but man is it ever easy to eat so many of them and then realize you’re not that full…Quite a conundrum.

Hello again! wanted to let you know that I answered you on my blog but thought I would let you know here, too.

I bought the oat milk at Whole foods in the boxed milk section but I have also seen it with the boxed milk at ET’s. And, the candy corn kisses do not have chocolate in them. They are killer.

When I just looked at the picture of your sandwich I thought you ate peanut butter and eggs. That would have been something new!

Christie I – Thanks for answering my questions on both your post and mine. I really like candy corn so I need to find those kisses.

Christie- I think I may go eat 10 right now so that I get 10 grams of fiber.

Hangry- Definitely original, but probably isn’t too bad – anything with PB is good!

Grounded – I hope you find them- they taste like Girl Scout’s Thin Mints.

i would eat pb&j every day if I had my druthers. For some reason I think of it as treat, even tho it used to be a daily snack. I love just diving into the jar with a spoon. The bananas look so yummy in it!
