Football Sunday

I was pretty excited about the fact that I everything I ate today is summed up in 5 photos.. only 5, I feel like this is such an accomplishment for me because I am a grazer – aka I snack all day- but today I only had one snack. This called for me featuring my oatmeal again. Here she is in all her glory… banana oats with toppings.

Lunch consisted of this spinach salad with tomatoes, avocado, carrots, cucs and cut up mozzarella string cheese.100_1671.JPG

And I decided to something really orignial with my left over pieces of tempeh and portobello (portobella… which is correct, I’ve seen both) mushrooms…. put them in a pita with a smear of hummus, spinach, tomato, and onion. I know not very original but it tasted really good. 100_1674.JPG

After lunch I had a few pieces of TJ’s Oat and Wheat Bran Swirls for a snack… its addicting so having one handful is quite an accomplishment. I actually went back to the cabinet to get another handful, got it out, sat down at my computer and thought I am full – I seriously shouldn’t eat this. So I took the second handful and put it back in the box. My hands were clean! 100_1678.JPG

I went to the gym after lunch, around the same time the guys arrived for football mania. Isaac was grilling out for them so he bought a portobello mushroom for me. I had a grilled portobello mushroom burger with tomato, onion, and some more of the mozzarella string cheese all nestled in-between the top and bottom of an Ezekiel English Muffin. On the side I had left over broccolini and CRISPY sweet potato fries… has anyone noticed it is really hard to make your own sweet potato fries crispy.. maybe it’s just me, but Alexia sure knows how to make her frozen fries crispy. So good!100_1679.JPG

Football has been on my tv from 1PM-10PM and it’s still on…. when is football going to be over again? Can you tell I am a big fan?

Way to catch yourself “snacking without reason” role model… I only seem to realize when it’s too late ;)

Hope you survive the football season!

Haha, I am the opposite – I love football season! But I suppose if it was on at my house for 9 hours straight, it might get a little old!

Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous! Those oats…that pita…everything!

Congrats on summing up your day in 5 – I am definitely a grazer too, but sometimes can get lost in all the grazing…so days where I eat three square meals + one clear cut snack are accomplishments for me, too.

I agree with you about Alexia – she’s a genius!

I feel ya on the football, friend. I’m already really over it. I used to try and watch it, but I only felt confused and bewildered.
Good job on reigning in the snacky feelings! I seriously need to work on that myself.
And lastly, you’ve fully convinced me to try those Alexia sweet potato fries. They look amazing!

That’s funny because one of the main reasons why I rarely post all my food is because I am a huge snacker and I would feel like the piggies blogger in the world to post like 10 pictures a day.

I got the Alexia fries last night at Stop & Shop and now I am am even more excited.

Have a good Monday.

Those TJ’s swirls look delicious, but good for you for putting them back when you knew you weren’t really hungry. Your dinner looks tasty!

You put the snack back!? You ARE a role model! I have a major snacking addiction. I need to follow you and be a bit more thoughtful about it.. :)

Danielle- This is seriously a once in a blue moon type of thing, i usually realize it when it’s too late as well.

Eatingbender – Thanks for the compliments on my pictures. I’m a snacker, but I kind of like it that way… it keeps my metabolism working… at least that’s what I tell myself. Try them- you will not be disappointed.

Erin- I get confused too and bored. You should definitely try them!

Hangry – SAME – I look at some blogs and I’m like seriously how did you not have a snack before dinner or after dinner… I’m a total snacker.

I’m excited to find out what you think of the fries!

Megan- They are delicious… and addicting. This is the first and probably only time I put them back in the box.

Rhodeygirl – Thank you!!!
