Back to my Oats

by eatingbirdfood on September 4, 2008

I got some bananas yesterday at WFs so I ready for some banana oat this morning. I had a spoonful of pb on the side, added some cranberry granola, and then sprinkled, actually it looks more like I poured, some flax on top. Oh well, a little flax didn’t hurt anyone.

A mid-morning snack consisted of grapes and pineapple. I successfully cut a whole pineapple today and didn’t end up eating it all today – I still have a Tubberware container left in the fridge for tomorrow!! We’ll see how long it will last.. probably not long.

For lunch I made a whole wheat pita stuffed with baked tofu, tomatoes, spinach and hummus,. I had the left over broccolini from last nights dinner on the side.100_1608.JPG

I wanted to get a good shot of my pita so I took a few bites to get the inside few.100_1614.JPG

I also had a Oikos with some Udi’s cranberry granola and honey on top.100_1616.JPG

For dinner I had left over quinoa with regular broccoli stir-fried with soy sauce, ginger garlic sauce, and oyster sauce. It turned out to be really delicious, but the one picture I took was quite blurry so I left it out.

My knee is sore from yesterday’s run so I didn’t make it to the gym today – I didn’t want to hurt it even more as I was already limping around the house, but I did get my yoga mat out and do a few arm exercises with the 10 pounders I have at home. I also did some v-ins – which were inspired by Kelly over at Grounded Fitness.

Tomorrow is Friday, and I’m sure all you working girls are excited. I kind of dread the weekends right now, because there is no chance of me getting a call from a potential employer. It’s been a long time coming. I think I mentioned that I got a temp position, but that actually didn’t fall through so I’m still on the hunt for a job. But lets hope I can start to count down to the weekends again very soon- aka – get a job very soon!
