Size Does Matter

I like to use small utensils because I feel the big spoons and forks are too large for my mouth. Same goes for dishes – normally I don’t use our large plates and bowls when I make myself a meal, that way I keep my portions in control and feel as though there isn’t empty space on the plate that needs to be filled. This doesn’t mean that I don’t occasionally go back for seconds – it happens.

But today for lunch I used a large plate and pretty much filled it to the brim with delicious things: half of a whole wheat pita and carrots to dip in hummus, sauteed squash and onions, baby spinach, chick-peas, avocado, cherry tomatoes, and half of a mozzarella cheese stick. On the side I had half of a container of yogurt with granola.

Stonyfield lowfat Vanilla yogurt with Udi’s Granola.

I used the Udi’s Kids granola with my yogurt, I like it because it has freeze dried bananas and strawberries that kind of remind me of the marshmallows in Lucky Charms <– did anyone else always save the mallows for last when eating Lucky Charms?

There will be a full review posted soon under the product review section.

That lunch looks amazing!! I love having a large mixture of healthy foods instead of a large portion of something less healthy!

Heck yes I saved the marshmallows for last! That was the only way to eat them :) In fact, I did it all the way through freshman year of college, when I lived off of cereal in the dorms. Sigh…

Thanks for the Udi’s review! And a big plate of good food always leaves me so satisfied!

I always go for the small plates/small utensils too. Except when I’m in the mood for a GIANT salad. Then I crack out the BIG bowl.

And I think I’m one of the only people who actually DIDN’T like those darn Lucky Charms marshmallows. I always thought they tasted kinda gross.
