AHHH… Street Cleaning
Things were looking up – until this morning when Isaac went outside to go to work and noticed that the street was empty, aka we got towed, not just my car, not just his car, both of our cars! And the place to pick up the cars was conveniently located on the other side of town. Gotta love living in the city. One thing that really ticks me off is that the street isn’t that clean. I think I should call the city and complain, letting them know that the street cleaning wasn’t adequate enough to justify towing of cars. Incase you all were wondering, towing places don’t give household discounts.
Rewind to last night which was much better than this morning. Isaac and I went to dinner at this place a vegetarian and vegan restaurant I have been wanting to eat at. I got the Hummus Sandwich and Isaac got the Black Bean Burrito. We split each in half and shared. Both were really good and mine came with sweet potato fries and a side salad. I forgot my camera because we rode bikes there, but I wished I hadn’t because my sandwich bread was in the shape of a heart. Dang it, I really do wish I had a photo. Oh well, yesterday I ate multigrain Cheerios with 1/2 of a banana and strawberries on top and this salad for lunch.
This morning, while in the process of looking up directions to the towing place I had some banana oatmeal, with brown sugar, blueberries, and flax on top.
I ate some grapes and strawberries as a mid morning snack or a pre lunch snack rather, since it was right before I ate this: a plate of baked squash and a sweet potato that I cooked in the mircowave, cut, and then baked (served with ketchup of course)
I’m off to redeem my free haircut that I won through a raffle at the Watermelon Festival. (I have seriously been a pretty lucky girl, up until this mornings unfortunate events) It’s at CeCo Studio, which is an Aveda concept salon. I’m excited because I needed a hair cut but didn’t really have the extra money. But now I basically spent on towing what I would have spent on a haircut… .

Ahh, sorry about the tow truck. Our family has had that happen to us one too many times, too. That and parking tickets. Oh and speeding tickets. Man, we are rebels.
Sweet potatoes and ketchup = awesome. And congrats on the free haircut – you really are the lucky contest winner of the summer, aren’t ya?!

Both cars?!?!? That BLOWS. I would write a letter to the city! If there weren’t signs posted then you can definitely get money back, but what an inconvenience!
And free haircut? So fun. I always feel so refreshed after a good haircut, and a FREE one? Even better!

The morning after Chris and I moved to Brooklyn, both our U-haul and his car got towed. Actually, his car got towed again after that, and he let them keep it.

What a pretty veggie/s.p plate. Good luck in your race tonight. Cute haircut, too. I’ve never had bangs so I am no use to you.
